OK I need to get this off my chest because it's been bothering me. There were several elections on the ballot (judges, tax assessors, other low-level elected officials) that I had NO clue about. I mean, I'd never heard of the challenger and sometimes even the incumbent. I know I should have consulted web pages or gotten info from the League of Women Voters (why not a league for us men voters?) or in some way educated myself, but the sad fact is that I was clueless. So I voted based on party affiliation (yuck) or just a plain random pick. Like I was taking a test I hadn't studied for. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And does it bother anyone besides me? ------------------
Well there may be issues or candidates on the ballot that we may not be familiar. You should, like you said seek to inform yourself. If I don't know anything about the candidates then I don't vote on that race at all. ------------------
Or you could do like Mike Seaver (growing Pains) did on his SAT, draw a picture of a dog using the bubbles. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
