As a bit of a distraction from all of this presidential nonsense, I offer the following problem.

I have not been able to see a Rockets game. I simply cannot get any UHF stations. Not just 55, but 20, 26, 39 - nothing!

I have Dish Sat. for one TV, and of course that is no help - the other is regular. But both are the same - have one antenna jack on the back. I have tried both TV's with multiple vhf/uhf antennas (rabbit ears or circumference thingies, whatever).

I simply cannot get reception. I have gone through vcr's, no help. I have taken it outside, moved a tv around the house - nothing!

Last year, I had a little 13" tv that could get uhf without an antenna of any kind. That tv is gone for newer, bigger ones. The only other difference is that I now live inside the loop.

Any thoughts? I must see some games, especially when they switch to 20!

    So very sad [IMG]

If you want a free TV, I have one that gets 20. The catch is: you have to let me blow up your television.

Get cable. That should allow you to get channel 20 clear.

I've got an antenna in my attic and get really good reception on all the local channels (with the exception of ch. 55, of course, which sucks big time). Channel 20 looks great. It's not a powered antenna or anything, just the larger size kind that you could also mount on the roof - it's just less unsightly in the attic. It cost $100 but, in the long run, it beats the $10/month that cable would cost for local channels.

how can you live inside the loop and not get UHF channels? You must have a defective TV.

I have DirecTV and have purchased an amplified antenna from where else, Radio Shack!? the RS ATV 1000, it plugs into the wall and has some serious signal boost. I live near the loop and still have/had trouble getting ch. 55. thank goodness the Rockets are moving back to ch. 20.

My suggestion is to get an amplified antenna.

    or...

does your TV have settings for UHF and then for like cable... There are some TV's that have settings (menu screen on TV) for cable or antenna settings? Maybe that needs to be set?

I wish I could do more...I know what its like not to have Rockets games.

    Good Luck,
If you buy an antenna, keep your receipt in case your antenna doesn't work..

Make sure the POWER to your television is ON.

If it won't turn ON, or you are unsure, plug in the tv. Then try again.

    You are welcome rimmy.

they have dish shaped antennas that fit on your direct TV dish outside.

Go to the Ogdenville Outlet Mall and buy a PanaPhonics, Magnetbox or Sorny TV.
