I'm not a comp sci major, I just switched from Bachelor of Arts to Bachelor of Science and I need to take a couple of basic computing classes. Anyways, I need to write a fortran program to do a logarithm equation. Thanks link to assignment The equation I'm supposed to use is logbX = log10X/log10b
That's the first thing I thought of. I remember taking a class in it way back when, and even then it was old. The class kicked my tail. I never did write a Fortran program that worked. Thank goodness there were other components to the class. So: good riddance to Fortran (for most of us), and to programming (for those of us who just aren't programmers), and I cannot help anyone with their Fortran homework.
Are you using Fortran 90? It rocks. Anyway... what's with NOT reading your book, man? TAMU teachers will get pissed at you... I forgot... i will check tomorrow morning to see if I have any OLD a.out's...
are you in section 500? I think i was in your class, but i had to drop cause i missed a week and a half.
I had to take FORTRAN when I was an undergrad as I was a math major and Numerical Analysis was a required course in order to graduate. But I had to take FORTRAN 77. I had a terrible teacher and it was one of only 2 classes that I made a C in as an undergrad plus that was in the Fall of '93. So, I don't think I can help you, Oski. Funny thing was in Numerical Analysis, we had to do some programs in FORTRAN but half the class was Computer Science majors and the math majors had a deal with them. We would do their homework that was non-computer programs where you actually had to use math skills and in return they did all of our computer program assignments. The teacher knew what we were doing, but he didn't give a ****.
