Good. Every band is now linked to Y&T for all of eternity.

Near as I can tell, Pat Smear is the nexus of rock and roll. Scary.

Try as I might there was no connection between Chic and The Dead Kennedy's

Actually it doesn't work for me. No matter what two bands I connect on, it says unable to find results. I even tried the ones listed in their example.

I bet Brian Baker (Minor Threat/Dag Nasty/Bad Religion/Junyard) was one of the links in that. He's the link between pretty much every punk band and big time rock band.

Well, him and the drummer Josh Freeze.

edit: d'oh, he wasn't! Pat Smear (Germs/Nirvana/Foo Fighter/ton of crappy LA bar bands) is another guy that pops up a lot.

I used to show off to two guys on allmusic.com, I could get to Steely Dan from any possible musician/producer/album/song just by clicking the "worked with" or "sounds like" or "performed songs by" links.

They'd type in "Andrew Ridgeley" or "Dark Side of the Moon" and ten clicks later, I'd be at the Steely Dan bio.

    No, we weren't on drugs.

Him or Tracii Guns. Odd that they're both so closely related. Damn you LA rock scene in the mid 80s!
