So, the Wolves are 24-24 and sitting in the #9 position in the West, despite being the bandwagon favorite of the offseason. Me? I smell a powderkeg ready to blow. KG's fiercely competitive, and can't possibly be taking this well after finally getting past the first round last year. This is a guy that's already clocked two teammates, and is now watching half his squad dog it on the court. We've got Wally, who's not happy about losing his spot as a starter and number 2 shot-taker. There's 'Feed My Family' Sam's already missed some games and has been rusty since coming back. Kandi has shifted into another obvious 'don't care' mode. Hudson is steaming, mostly from being in denial over his game. People are calling for Flip's head on the Minny radio. If Spree or Cassell get moved, does Garnett blow his top? Oh, and Denver might be getting ready to go on a big run at the playoffs. Any chance this ends up well? Evan
Garnett is still young. If they were smart they wont trade their young assets so as to keep their future bright. They probably should look to move Spree and Cassell. Hang onto Hassell and Wally. Hudson could be moved also. No question this team took a major step back this year. There is no defensive intensity and their rebounding is terrible
To much tallent on this team. I know if you look on paper its a reallly good thing BUT when every player wants time on the floor and shots well it just dosn't work out. This team will be making MAJOR trades before the deadline, IMO of course!
Spree could be the dumbest person in this planet. TWolves offered him something like 30 Million for 3 years contract in the beginning of the season and he declined. He felt it was insulting because he worth much more and he need money to feed the family. Now I don't think any team will offer him half of the price and I am loving it.
If Minnesota is healthy, they will be dangerous. In the half court set they have someone who must be doubled, and they have people who can hit mid range jumpers. Not every team in the West has that. It will pay dividends. They are just in a long winded slump. But they are good enough to make the playoffs. They don't turn the ball over. They shoot well. They are in every game. They'll make a nice run to close out the season if healthy.
someone will take spree's ending contract. NOH, MIL, even NYK said they want to start rebuilding. i could see minny and the hornets getting together for a spree for davis swap.
I reckond they've already melted, they've lost five in a row and are about to lose to Memphis. How worse could things get?
The Lakers and the Wolves are busy in a race to see how low one can really sink. You lose one game, right? I will blow the next two. How about me, I will go on a 5 game losing streak. Let's see who has the last laugh.
The thing is that Minni has enough guys to make a good trade. Spree/Cassell/Hassell/Wally/Hoiberg could all be moved and with the right package, they could net a pretty good deal. Spree is a big expiring contract, Cassell is still a good PG, Hassell is a proven swingman, Wally's got the shot and so does Hoiberg.
