We are sooooo lucky to be 7 games over .500 being we blew the easy part of our schedule in Dec.

 

I think these close games will be good for us in the playoffs. I hated seeing the rockets losing those close games to the Lakers last year. Hope with all these close games, the players learn to play clutch basketball.

Yep. Those that knew how the Rockets played in the past, should recognize that we play much more under control. Whether we're down by 10 or up by 10, I still feel that we have better control of the game.

We only had 8 TO today (vs Lakers). That trend should continue. The last TEN games we are under 14 TO per game.

Good to see that we are 7-3. But close games aren't always good, I can remember a bunch of games that we have blown big leads in the 4th (ex: today vs. the Lakes), but pull out the win.

Winning is all that matters so I am not complaining.

so i guess since we win most of our close games JVG is doing a good job.

 

I will always have confidence that we will win every close game, and come back from every defecit, why? because we have T-mac and a bunch of players that are not turnover prone and have enough experience to get by. Yao has a high FG% and FT%, we have all the peices needed to be a under control and clutch team.

 

True, but losing to the Kings last week with them playing a road back-to-back game (Spurs the night before) and without their all-star shooter in OT serves us right. We have to find a way to smell blood against a wounded opponent like that and take advantage, especially one ahead of us in the standings and of that caliber. Now, the next time we play them, the Kings should be at full strength and playing at home, yikes...

BTW, I still can't believe that 2 of the Spurs losses came from us and 2 of our losses came from the Bobcats!!! WE WERE SWEPT BY AN EXPANSION TEAM!!! Our record would be an amazing 32-17 if we could of just beat them, Crawford's 3 rattles out, and we don't head to the locker room for the 4th quarter of the Atlanta game!!! 32-17!!! Although I'll take a first round matchup with the Sonics anyday, no one want's to play us IMO, regardless of record...

 

it really makes me mad that we lost some of those games earlier in the year ( bobcats twice, knicks buzzerbeater, atlanta double digit lead in 4th qtr off the top of my head)

just with those 4 wins we'd be half game back of dallas right now.. oh well, we're a much different team now, and i'm looking for a great second half push from the rocks, and thank God we're done with charlotte..
