Okay, maybe I'm not rich...But I thought we needed another poker thread. ;)

Anyways, I used some of the "Players Club" points on partypoker.com to enter a free tournament...Financially, it was a waste of time, but entertainment wise, it was fun as hell...

$1250 prize purse, top 30 spots out of 1700+ get paid...Well, I played for over 4 hours, finished in 20th place and earned a whopping $18.75. Wouldn't I have made 6 figures if this were the WSOP? :) Okay, I suck at poker...but still, pretty cool.

I play at PokerStars all the time. I had the most bizarre hand yesterday. I'm in the big blind at am dealt AQ diamonds, 4 guys in front of me all just call the big blind (30), so I raise to 100. Only one guys drops out. The flop comes 7h Qs 9h, I bet 100, everyone calls quickly. The turn comes 2d, so I bet 160, the guy next to me goes all in and the next two guys quickly call. So I'm sitting on top pair, top kicker and three guys go all in in front of me. Of course I have to fold, because one of those guys has got to be sitting on aces, kings, a set or two pair, right? Wrong, one guy had Q10, one has J9 and the other has the nut flush draw. WTF!?! The guy with queens, 10 kicker, wins and takes a pot of about 4500, and this was the first hand! I couldn't believe that my AQ would have held up.

Oh I know, stuff like that happens to me all the time, although recently i have been getting great hands but then nothing on the community cards, i will start out with like KQ, AJ and what not, but then the flops come with stupid 10's, 9's and 8's just havent been able to catch anything....if we get enough we should hook up and play

That's what happens on the little tables no one really cares about that little bit of play money so they could pretty much go all in with nothing at all. Happens all the time, til you build a nice bank and move to the bigger tables.

This was at a $15 sit and go table. It's basically the only table I play at, and as I've mentioned before, it's been paying my rent the last few weeks. Usually the table is full of decent players, this is the exception.

wow ok didn't know that... that's some pretty crazy playing then, don't think I'd have the stomach for that kind of play. Yea I'd imagine that when playing with real money people wouldn't play that loose but there's always exceptions to the rule.
