This semester in college I have classes from 9:20 in the morning untill 10:10 at night on Tuesday and Thursday with a small break at 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. I was thinking about giving some type of energy drink a try to help keep me awake after that break between 3-7. I went to the store and saw several brands and decided to post a poll and see what you all thought and the input you would give. So here goes.
That cr*p sucks. Tried it once and was a night from hell. Made my stomach spin. Couldn't sleep, but couldn't study either cause I was still foggy and groggy. And it wore off when I got to my exam.
Well I just bought a 4 pack of Red Bull so I hope this stuff works and at $1.75 it better, that's more expensive than beer!
Seriously, why would you schedule your classes that way? I learned after like 1 semester in college to schedule everything between 10 and 2 or 3. It was only on extremely rare ocassions that i had to deviate.
I am a commuter, the drive from Jonesboro to Memphis is about an hour and I work so I have to have a really messed up schedule. I filled out my paperwork and if I find out I cannot graduate in fall then I am transferring back home but for this semester at least I am stuck at UM.
I took Vivarin once in college to pull back-to-back all nighters. I took three at once and could feel my heart beating out of my chest. Never again.
Take a couple of tyrosine on an empty stomach (produces certain neurotransmitters in the brain). Wait at least 30 min before eating. Then drink a little caffeine and take an aspirin a while before class (the aspirin helps keep the caffeine from wearing off). Don't take tyrosine late in the afternoon unless you need to stay up really late.
Lo Carb Monster is the way to go. I was introduced to them at the gym I work at about a year ago and have to have one a day when I am home. If only the damn walmart here in Grove City, PA carried the darn things. I would be set.
Yet another vote for Monster. A much better value for the money than Red Bull or Amp, and tastes and works much better than No Fear.
I was obsessed with energy drinks last semester, of everything I tried, these are my rankings. I don't really drink them for the energy, because they don't work, only for which I think taste best. Red Bull Amp Lil Jon's CRUNK!!! Energy Drink Adrenaline Rush Monster No Fear -- this stuff is putrid, but for some reason I have noticed that they REALLY started promoting this stuff on campus last week. Pimp Juice is pretty good, but it really doesn't even deserve to be called an energy drink. It is non caffeinated and is basically sour apple juice. I think it might even have some real juice in it.
if you can locate some crunk juice the lil jon stuff that is the strongest stuff I have ever consumed or see others consume lol.
