Didn't Yao just miss two shots tonight (out of 6)? What do you mean that "he got stuffed or threw up some weak shot"? Why are you guys so mean to him? Being 7'6'' doesn't mean that he should be abused by fans whenever he doesn't "dominate"! Please be fair to him, he is not a machine, he is a humanbeing, a very decent one!

I'm not abusing him. YOF's are constantly abusing Sura for not getting him the ball. WHen Yao does get the ball, at least tonight, Dalembert made him shoot awkward shots or pass it. Is it Sura's fault that Yao cant get good position? We cant spend 15 seconds trying to get the ball into Yao.

Rockets' current record is identical to last year' on this same day, 26-21, is that just a coincidence or what!

Yao and YOF are so different.

I want to see Yao himself complains about not being treated like a star and demands a trade.

We won tonight for the exact opposite reason we lost in Miami, we knocked down the perimeter shot. The team is awesome when they shoot like this but we need to do it on a more consistent basis.

Did anyone see how Sura ignored Yao when Yao was greeting the guys when they were walking off the court back to the locker room. I don't know what Sura's problem is with Yao, but there is no love on Sura's part for Yao. On the other hand, Deke and Yao seem to like and respect each other.

That's why I thought it mabe be a good idea to have a special section for debate&discussion for controversial topics in the basketball forum, kind of like the hangout. Should decrease the amount of flaming and anger floating around from alll sides because everyone will be going into the discusson expecting different opinions and controversies.

Forgive me, I am always trying to catch up to what's going on with the Rockets... no tv... but it seems like Yao always goes off for a lot of points whenever he is single-covered, or at least he does pretty consistently, no? And because of this he is going to demand the double-team most of the night, right? It's frustrating that the double-team shuts him down so well, because of course if he demanded the occasional TRIPLE team it would be even better... and also what if the shooters are missing? Still, seems like a pretty big contribution right there... just checking :)

Sura probably does not respect anyone who does not play "all out, all the time." He probably expects Ming to be a Beast and he isn't. Just a guess.

I'm sick of the "YOF" term, there are many many more so called YOFs than those "Team only fans" and Les & CD damn love them!

If you agree that NBA is rather a market game than a pure sports game, you have to admit YOF's importance to the team.

And, it's better to unite so called YOFs rather than turn against them, Yes, YOFs are all bonehead and Team only fans are always so wise.

Then he's stupid to make it so obvious. Yao means 1000 times
more to the organization than him.

I'm very glad with T-Mac and our shooters. Double teaming Yao opens up our chances but if he isn't more aggressive on scoring we can't win much because shooting can't carry us everynight. We need a strong inside-out game along with good defense and rebounding.

Hey, interesting idea! I'd like to see something like that.

As for Sura's thing with Yao - from what you guys have said since Sura got here -- could part of it be that Sura plays so incredibly hard that he can't relate to Yao's attitude, or... ?

"You tall m$&*$#er, if I was 7'6" I'd be eating Shaq for lunch, you *$&^..." ?

edit: alright, solid, that's what I'm asking! Beat me to it.

Did Sura finish something special at his longer NBA experience?

Gee guys, I said it was just a guess. You are taking me too seriously.

I did see Sura and Ming "low five" during the game. It is not like they hate each other, surely.

Hard for teammates for respect a soft player. Yao does play
like a Giant pansy sometimes. However, it shouldn't affect
their play on court, otherwise you can safely call them "cancer".

If your guess is right (I certainly hope you are wrong), then Sura is a confused man - for we all know that inconsistent results does not mean inconsiste efforts. Low score and low RB # could be the consequence of many factors in the game. An experience player would definitely know this. Also, you don't judge a book by its cover - Just like people thought Tmac was lazy because he looks lazy, Yao being nice doesn't mean he does not give 100% all the time. Even JVG said nobody could question Yao's committment to the team. Yes, he does behave differently from most NBA players, he doesn't shout or pump chest after a dunk, but that doesn't mean he doesn't leave all on the court!
