It's one week away. Time to make 5 predictions, no debating, just predictions. 1. Who will win the presidency? 2. Who will control the House? 3. Who will control the Senate? 4. 1. Bush 2. Republicans 3. Republicans 4. Yes! 5. He'll loose soundly, but not enough to be a real embarrassment -- considering his campaigning dropped off. You should add: 6. Clinton or Lazio for NY senate. ------------------ Stay Cool...
1. Bush 2. Republicans 3. Republicans 4. With flying colors 5. Quite possibly, but my prediction is that he'll lose a very close one ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
six out of seven for Bush? I can't take it... Rimy, Jeff, Outlaw say it ain't so! [This message has been edited by mc mark (edited November 01, 2000).]
The Redskins game put it in the book. When the skins win the week before the election incumbants are undefeated. When they lose the incubants have always lost. So the skins are 15-0 in predicting results. They lost the game. So, according to the theory Bush will win. However, Gore roots for the Tennessee Titans despite living in DC, So I think this could be the exception to the rule. Gore in a landslide. ------------------ humble, but hungry.

I think Gore will win, but I would give Bush at least a 40% chance. My thinking lays with two reasons: 1) Gore only needs a popular draw (or he could even be behind by a couple of percentage points) to win because of Cal and NY; 2) In my mind enough borderline people right now are simply entertaining votes for changes (Bush, Nader) that when they get in the voting booth they will say let's go continue with what we have been doing in the White House. Basically, close to half of the Nader folk will say I couldn't live with another Bush and will vote for their second choice (Gore), and some very mild Bush leaners will say though I'd rather have him over for dinner, I'd rather have Gore as my CEO. I also suspect a split congress, Hilary will edge it out in NY because of Lieberman being on the national ticket. [This message has been edited by Desert Scar (edited November 01, 2000).]
well I'm not for Bush, just really skeptical of picking against him now. My very first time voting was in 1994 and I thought Dubya had no chance of beating Ann Richards, whom I voted for. In 1998, I voted for Garry Mauro thinking it would at least be close. But it was a landslide victory for Bush and an embarrassment to the Dems. The guy just can't lose it seems, unfortunately. 1. I think Gore wins it. Bush will win the popular vote, but if GOre gets Florida, then Gore will win the Electoral vote. 2.& 3. Split 4. I honestly, and sadly dont think it will. I just think there is alot of apathy towards the Rockets for WHATEVER reason. 5. Yes. His wife takes his seat. ------------------ "Her Box Started Buzzing Ever Since She Heard The CRÜE"
Guess picking the winner in the battleground states was too much for everyone! Or is it my low post count? ------------------

Here's another question. Who does everyone think the State Senate will pick to fill out Rick Perry's term as Lt. Gov. (once Perry becomes Governor after Bush wins the White House)? ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
