    Forget the San Jac monument. Just got to Kemah for some seafood and walk the boardwalk.

    Weekend go to Galveston for Mardi Gras or take in a UH Cougar basketball game Sat. They are having $1 dogs night. Save $$.

    The Square Falls by Williams Tower is always nice.

    Rainbow Lodge for dinner would be a good suggestion.

    I wouldn't bother with the SanJac Monument. Always seems to be a yawner to out of towners.

    if she likes antiques, 19th Street in the Heights is really nice for that! plus the first saturday of every month is the Historic Heights tour.

    I took my son to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. I find it to be a dump and very depressing for the most part.

    I visit Houston 4-5 times a year. I always go to Pappasitios, Luling City BBQ, Rajin Cajun, Lupe Tortillas and Otto's Burgers. These are great food places and fun.

    How does Ninfas on Navigation compare to Lupes or Pappasitos?
