Has anyone noticed how cheap the Rockets game entertainment is?

They do throw out a lot of shirts, but I swear everyone in the expensive seats must have 2 shirts for every game they attend. The upper level gets screwed.

well i totally disagree about the food its great to me theres nothing better than the chicken basket with waffle fries or the chilli and cheese fries and clutch is hilarious they just need another character to compliment him to maybe do some skits. i wish they would use the robot clutch more to beat people up and do the things he does when hes out there.

The media guides not being sent was a dumb move and I think they'll correct that. The handouts have been discussed and there was a very specific reason they did them that way, but that is being changed.

They didn't go over budget on the building. They made different choices, some of them not so smart and others very smart. They are trying to listen and I know much has improved since last season, but they have a ways to go.

Personally, I never understood the fascination with T-shirts, but from what they have said, the reason that there aren't as many upstairs are for a few reasons:

    1. It is almost impossible to get to those areas. They run people down the stairs, but they don't have enough people and the catwalks pose safety concerns.

    2. They don't have the mechanism to get the shirts up to the upper level from the floor. They cannot use the cannon as it was banned after Clutch accidentally shot Cuttino in the shoulder knocking him out of the second half of a game. They were concerned about other liability issues as well.

    3. The upper bowl only represents about 1/3 of the total seating in the building so, naturally, more will end up downstairs.

Take that for what you will. As I said, I don't get the fascination with catching a t-shirt. Big freakin' deal.

I love it! Smack from a Tundra dancer.

I don't have a problem with you guys, but could you at least throw in a practice or two? Your routine sucks and it looks like you aren't even trying.

I suggest you study Chris Farley and his dance moves. Especially his Chippendale's routine.

Now step away from the buffet and go practice, dammit.

yeah the food and entertainment does suck. i think the food at my old highschool cafateria was better than what they have. i don't even bother to stay in my seat for the halftime show. i usually walk around to see if i run into anybody i know.

We do practice... just at things like eating and drinking... not actual dance moves...

    The gig is pretty sweet...

Remember, I am a rocket fan first before I am an employee...

been a Rocket fan since Seattle knocked us out the playoffs...

If you don;t like the ingame entertainment, watch it at home... seriously....

    DONT COME...

I personally like the fact that i can see the cheerleaders dance and practice up close for free...

    WHO CAN BEAT THAT...?

    bushwickbillyd...

I think you need to go out drinking/eating with us before you hate on TUNDRA... then you can see why we dance the way we do...

It's hard to concentrate when your drunk...

I'm new to TUNDRA this year(we've only done like 3 games...)

just give us some time to work together

That means JVG will give him a contract to play for our aging Rockets. He, nevermind he didn't play for the Knicks before retiring.

And yes the food sucks and the entertainment sucks, the other day i want to see the Rockets Vs the Clippers, they had this two chicks who were supposted to be this singers/songwriters that are coming now a days. They sucked, they had guitars but didn't know how to play them which is pathetic anyway you look at it.

I think you're probably pulling everyone's leg about being in Tundra, but regardless, you have come off as a turd in this thread. Your quote above, & the personal attack on the poster who didn't like your routine, say quite a lot about you. Plenty of people think Tundra sucks. That's their opinion - deal with it.

People who pay hundreds & thousands of dollars to support their team have the right to b**** about the quality of the team, food, and general entertainment offered to them.

Also - Jeff, we've had this conversation a million times before, but your contention that the Rockets didn't bring back the independent vendors b/c they "couldn't control the quality" is bogus on so many freaking levels.

Is the tripe the Rockets offer now "quality?" Is serving high school cafetria grade food the Rockets' idea of quality? Is it a better "quality" than what Pappas offered? Are the Rockets burgers of better "quality" than what Whataburger offered? Who in the hell would EVER select a TC burger over a freaking Whataburger. The only reason they weren't brought back was b/c the Rockets wanted more of the concession money. $$$. That's it . Don't try this "quality control" crap again.

Just want to correct a common misconception regarding food in Compaq Center - the stands that were branded as Pappas were not actually Pappas, they were actually completely operated by Aramark. Aramark paid a small percentage to Pappas for the use of the name, but it was Aramark food. The quality of food and variety of food at Toyota Center is actually much better than at Compaq - you just have to walk around a bit to see everything they are offering. At Compaq it seemed like a lot of variety because there was basically one big food court. TC is far too big with too many different levels for one big food court to work. If you walk around you'll find lots of different stuff. Here's a list: http://www.houstontoyotacenter.com/about/concessions.php

I agree that I miss the little booklets of info they used to hand out, but at least the Rockets still have a card with the team rosters. When did the Astros or the Texans ever give out stuff like that for free?!?

As for game entertainment, they need more skits from Clutch. He's hilarious.

There is no way in hell that the burritos & nachos at the 'Sitos in CC were the same Aramark crap that is at TC now.

    No freaking way.

You gonna tell me that the Whataburger's w/ cheese & jalapeno that I'd get were just Aramark burgers as well?

    BS.

Look, if the Rockets just say "hey we wanted to make more money off of concessions," I'd be fine with it. It wouldn't make the food better, but whatever... But don't tell me that you did that to "control the quality."

    Laughable.

Anyway, speaking of "game entertainment," when does the Jack Daniels bar open?

i'm sorry, but that's just not right. i had season tickets back then, and that was GOOD food. it was real fajitas. and it was crawfish baskets at Pappa's Seafood House. It was not aramark concessions, at all. They still had those aramark facilities there...but no way in the world Pappa's is gonna let you slap their name on that crap and sell it. they have a product image to protect. same with whataburger and all the rest.

    It's already open.

Oh, and aramark is not the concessionaire at Toyota Center.
