I don't think I saw that here, but I saw it somewhere else and almost threw up. It was so soon after the deal that I was surprised that they already had the video showing it. One thing that ticks me off is that there is this one guy at another message board I visit that has a Carlos Beltran (as a Met) avatar. I'm ok with the deal for the most part, but I still hate seeing it. Back on-topic One thing that is bothering me is the release date. It seems like several places have it coming out March 14-15th, but they just announced that it would come out March 9th for Europe. Considering that the US tends to get games sooner than Europe (including GT3 IIRC), I would think that a mid-March release date would seem strange. Guess we'll see what happens. I've read that Europe is a pretty good place for racing games, so maybe this is how they planned it. After all, I think NFSU 2 beat out GTA:SA and Halo 2 in sales a few weeks in Europe.
It's not the fact that we lost him that makes me sick, it's the way Borass and him played Houston for so long. They completely mugged our team this off season.
They finally announced the official US release date. Feb. 22. I can't wait, this and Tekken 5 both come out on the same day. http://www.us.playstation.com/pressreleases.aspx?id=249
How easy is this game going to be with a regular controller vs. one of those fancy-dan steering wheel thingamabobs? The game looks absolutely gorgeous.
I thought the EU release date didn't seem to go along with the mid-March US date, although I didn't think it would be out this early. Cool to see it come out earlier than expected. It seems like seems like late Feb-March will kind of be like late Oct-November of last year when it comes to games. There is another large batch of great games coming out, plus the PSP launch in places not named Japan. I wish more publishers went the $20-$30 route.
Regarding the sadness of no internet multiplayer availability for the release of the game. (it only supports 4 player LAN). There is a program that has been made that tricks the pc into thinking that it is playing over the LAN when in fact it is playing over the internet. www.teamxlink.co.uk It was reviewed and recomended in my PS magazine. Cool looking software.
Couldn't edit my other post....too much time has passed. Anyways, found a link to the intro video to the game. Pretty awesome looking (the game). http://38.119.37.21/L?T=G&PID=0078700098&source=&gameid=968
There's some more videos of the game here. Most of these are exclusive to the site since they're sent in by gamers, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to watch them. Only downside is they are pretty big, which is why I only checked out a few. Amazing game though. BTW, that site has sections to other games as well, also with exclusive videos.
Sounds like Sony is getting ready for some unique marketing for GT4. Just wish this wasn't all the way in CA only. BTW, 1UP/EGM also has a review up on GT4 now. I imagine some others will start coming out pretty soon, if they haven't already. Just a little longer for those US GT4 fans.
I posted this in another thread as well, but is there a new gaming console coming out in the near future? I want to buy one for my grandson and I don't want to buy something if it will be obsolete in the near future. I would much rather wait and buy him something new and state of the art. If there isn't any new system coming out, any suggestions on what I should buy?
The new XBox will be coming out in the Fall of this year. New Playstation and Nintendo consoles sometime next year. If you buy one of the current systems it really depends on what type of games he wants to play. Playstation is best for RPG's, XBox for sports and first person shooters and has the best online support. Nintendo has the Mario/Zelda/Metroid series and a few other good exclusives. All three are good for platformer games.
