Ralph Nader has a new ad running. It's a parody of the Monster.com spot from the Super Bowl. I thought it was pretty clever. They have a link to it on this page: http://www.salon.com/politics/feature/2000/11/01/spot/index.html ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
That was the first time I had seen either ad, and I thought they were both hilarious. Some of those ad guys' comments though are bizarre ... like the one who thinks the ads are stealing? And the Ogilvy & Mather guy's comment (on p.2) about how the spot is flat and meaningless and Nader isn't going to solve any problems ... yeah, so, and Nike shoes don't make you a better athlete either. ------------------ Brought to you by the letter M.
That was a good ad. GO NADER! ------------------ "You look a team that's been to the mountaintop like the Houston Rockets, I'm going to put pressure on myself to be the best possible player that I can be. With the pieces they already have in place and myself, we can do some amazing things next season." Maurice Taylor

I just couldn't leave this alone. Found this in my email box this AM. Al Gore is out jogging one morning, notices Little Johnny on the corner with a box. Curious he runs over to Little Johnny and says, "What's in the box kid?" Little Johnny says, "Kittens, they're brand new kittens." Al Gore laughs and says, "What kind of kittens are they?" "Liberals," says Little Johnny. "All liberals, greenpeacers, tree huggers and that one in the back, jumping up and down all excited like ... but trying to look sad and serious at the same time ... he's definitely a democrat." "Oh that's cute," Al says and he chuckles and goes on his way. A couple of days later Al Gore is running with Ralph Nader and a whole gaggle of liberals politicians and he spies Little Johnny with his box just ahead. Al Gore says to Ralph, "You gotta check this out" and they both jog over to Little Johnny. Gore says, "Look in the box guys, isn't that cute? Look at those little kittens. Hey kid tell my socially-conscious friends what kind of kittens they are." Little Johnny replies, "They're Republicans." "Whoa!" Gore says, "I came by here the other day and you said they were all liberals. What's up?" "Well," Little Johnny explains, "Their eyes are open now." ------------------
Pops, I don't think Nader should be considered a "liberal." In fact, that would be offensive to him. ------------------ EZLN
Those Nader ads are absolutely fantastic. Oeilpere...that one is as old as the hills! ------------------ I am the b*stard son of LHutz. Huh? Right!
That was a great spot! Funny stuff! The other one was very good too but not as funny. That's the first time I've seen either of them too. I wonder why I haven't seen them on TV. BTW, Ryan - Love your Anti-Bud site. Get 'im! ------------------
