Plus, new material from And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead and Nanci Griffith. And, on a scale of one to ten, how overrated are the Brazilian Girls? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...103-9440145-1115821?v=glance&s=music&n=507846 Rap: Geto Boys, The Foundation (* * *out of four) A decade has passed since the classic Geto Boys lineup of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill last rhymed together. You could hardly tell, though, on this reunion album, which is as unapologetically hardcore as anything they did in the early '90s. The Houston trio takes deadly aim at all manner of studio gangsters, rivals and snitches on such pounding tracks as Declaration of War, Yes, Yes Ya'll and When It Gets Gangsta. The street life they describe has much deadlier consequences than the ride-pimping arms race in which so many rappers engage. They have an unvarnished griminess that gives them great group chemistry, but with each focusing on solo careers it could be a while before they do it again. —Steve Jones
And what about Baby Spice?!?!?!?! What's she up to? What's her new album called? Inquiring minds wish to know!!!
I thought the CD was ok....not great. Some tracks were on fire. But the majority seemed like filler tracks. Maybe the CD will grow on me or something. I do like the new T.I. CD though.
Ummm...no. I am talking about the Geto Boys CD. Been listening to it for about a week or so. About half the CD is filler tracks. The tracks that are banging, bang hard. But there are some tracks that are lacking big time. That is in my opinion of course. I feel the same about the new Luda CD too.
I didn't express myself fully that well in my post. I think there are about 5 really great songs. But the other 8-9 are kind of lacking. they aren't terrible, just kind of don't grab me like the other tracks.
