I also noticed that. Both Barry and Padgett are good entry passers than Sura and Wesley. Maybe it was the height thing for Wesley. Of course TMac is just the best Rockets to pass the ball to Yao.

That's why Barry should be starting in the backcourt with Sura with Wesley coming off the bench. Barry is hitting his shots, and he gets the ball to both Yao and TMac consistently. Wesley needs to come off the bench.

TMac is only guy who can consistenly pass the ball to Yao or other
players. Today I found that Barry and Padgett can pass the ball to Yao so nicely, it is just easy to score.

Ming's first half was one of his best this year. Barry was money in the second. Wesley was HORRIBLE! He can't hit the side of a red barn with a brickbat and was absolutely "lit up" by Davis. I miss J.J.! Another gutsy performance by Sura, but some near costly mistakes in the fourth. TMac had an off night. Big win for the Rockets.

Stop a moment and compare the entertainment value of the games this year to the last five years. Friends, there is no comparison. The Rockets are fun to watch. That was not the case at the beginning of this year or for much of the Francis era. The Kings game and the Heat game were both losses, but very entertaining basketball. Drama is up, stupidity is down. I am enjoying following this team for the first time in a long time.

Mac was playing with a stiff back tonight. He was in serious pain all night and he iced his back whenever he saw bench-time.

just came back from fleet center. went with 30+ friends. have to say that celtics' cheerleading was least impressive comparing to the Wizards and Warriors games I have been to. But the game was great and Yao came through. love it!

So many Haters in this Forum

Sura and Yao played great. Sura passed the ball to Yao just as much as he passed to everyone else.

Errr, that's the problem. Why do you pass just as much to your role player as to your star player?

Strickland shoot under 10% according to M. Jackson from 610. Is this possible?

Yeah, but he moves like he is 50! I just freak out when he comes off the bench. I can't believe he is out there. I don't think he has enough left to make a lay up. It's just sad. The old Knick thing is wearing thin. The Rockets need all the help at guard they can get, and he is simply not the answer. But I am surprised and thankful he didn't get a ten year deal.

Why not? He is 2-21 from the floor with the Rockets.

AB will be better than that if he is allowed to play. He can also ran and pass. Just because he is under 35, he can not play the ball, it is sad.

We have a large group of older role players in our backcourt. (yes, that's as obvious as the sun rising in the... where does it come up??) One is beat up, as well as being an older role player. Those guys are just going to have off nights more often than younger dudes playing the same roles. The body doesn't recover as quickly, unless you're an ancient android, like yours truly, making a beeline for the sack after the wife has given a wink. ;)

Sura does have a problem with the entry pass to Yao (or whoever is in the low post). His upside in the game far outweighs his deficiencies, and we haven't much choice, anyway. No one can say, with a straight face, that he doesn't leave everything on the court, but Sura does have holes in his game. We all knew that. It's going to take towards the end of the season, in my opinion, for all our new guys to get accustomed to each other. Expecting an "instant symbiosis" with such an influx of players is nuts, so we have to be patient... and that's in short supply around here.

Like some of the more knowledgeable members have pointed out (which leaves me out!), we should be looking at what the team becomes over the next season or two. What we accomplish this season is gravy. I hope the gravy tastes good in June.
