IMO we should've traded our pick and the TE for arroyo.

we have to make the best of this situation. rod and AB might be the worst pair of PG's in the L. i am hoping that we found a taker for mo and we will be getting a PG in return.

Sura going down isnt good! Anyone have any real news on the situation?

I have said this many times, but after Yao and Tmac, I think Sura is the 3rd most important player on the team. Strickland and Barrett at PG now? Yikes!

If Sura is gone for a while (Larry Hughes had a broken finger and is out 4-6 weeks) then we are in BIG trouble!

And I hope the Rockets organization doesnt make any "knee-jerk" trades because of this.

The LAST thing I want to see is our 1st round pick being shipped off to Boston for Payton or moving Spoon for Eric Snow or something like that. We cant trade a good asset like a 1st rounder for "rentals".

Rockets management has to keep in mind the long term effects of any "quick fix" move we might make.

a trade for jaric + wilcox/brand? i get the feeling either one of those PF's will be traded this or next season. i wouldn't be too surprised if the clips give up brand and not wilcox. wilcox is younger and cheaper (clips love this) and has greater upside than brand (though i'm not saying he will be better than brand).

on another note adding stockton would be an instant championship.

You do realize that the Clippers is trying to build a team around Brand, right?

Clips...building a team? Dunleavy Sr has done great, they will likely challenge for (possibly make) playoffs this year...but...they are still the Clips opened by Duh Donald the profiteer (not ever the propheteer).

There goes the hope that Yao would one day develop into the combination of Shaq-Walton-Chamberlin... :(

I'm glad to hear he will be able to play but his injury is very concerning.
I have come around to the idea suggested by mogrod and Troy that we should try to get GP with our TE. Naturally we would prefer a young, talented player but it's highly unlikely IMO that we can get one.
The TE shouldn't go to waste but I wouldn't have traded it and our 1st round pick for Arroyo. I think we can can get a good young 4 or a 1 or a 3 in the draft.

Bogut is gonna go #1, probably to Charlotte or New Orleans. Him and Okafor would make an interesting combo.

Right. Wilcox is a good young player being paid a fraction of what Brand is. I could easily see the Clippers moving Brand. I mean, we are talking about Donald Sterling here.

I was talking about PGs not SGs. And yeah i also heard that Iverson guy was pretty good (he sat out the their last game so Rockets might get lucky and avoid him).

relax. i think the guy was saying he'a a Yao fan who has now become a Rockets fan. Nothing wrong with that. That's one of Yao's strengths - to ability to appeal to new fans and increase the populatiry of the NBA (and Rockets).

As for Sura - yes he probably should have passed to Yao a little more often. Even so, he was definitely our 3rd best player and will be sorely missed.

Sometimes, guys just have to play together for a while to gain chemistry and confidence in each other. For Sura, who is not a natural point guard (even though he did perform quite admirably in that regard) - it may take a little longer. As you point out, it's really tough getting the ball to a guy who's being fronted (and double teamed from the weakside). Yao's fumbling away of passes or getting stripped sure doesn't help.
