Some times it seems Van Gundy could use a little help getting the offense to flow, what do you think?

I think you might be the first to bring this up. I don't think anyone in the FIRE GUNDY!!!! thread ever mentioned the fact that the offense might be a problem.

    How about Norm Chow.

I heard might be available at the right price. Heck, he could help out Palmer.

    Discuss.

if we "need" an offensive coordinator, who out there is an "offensive specialist?" I know Tex was suggested, but is he available?? I know there are guys that exist-----Eddie Jordan was apparently so in NJ. I can't name any, so if you know some, name 'em.

step 1. Start Jon Barry... he's been hitting his 3's consistantly and distributes the ball beautifuly
step 2. Get Yao about 5 jumpers per.. he's only getting 12 shots per game
He's a scorer, and he needs to shoot the ball... if he can't get 18 shots in the low post due to teams fronting him, double teams, etc.. let him take some jumpers from the outside on pick and roll/pop

the more he shoots, the better he plays, for the most part
Am I the only one dying to see what happens when Yao takes 30 shots, on a night when he's hot?
it's never happened.... his career high is 23 shot attempts, or about what Mcgrady averages

I understand that no one wants him to "go soft" and go away from his low post game, I'm saying he needs shots from the outside in addition to the back to the basket stuff

I think our offense will find another gear when Yao is established as a dual threat

Forget Phil Jackson, I say do whatever we can to get Bill Belichick!!! Throw in a couple of first round picks to sweeten the deal. New England will bite!!!

Yes - hire an offensive coach who can teach Gundy quietly and privately how to build and offense to his player's strengths....Keep it secret so Gundy takes ccredit and preserve the small man's ego...
