Man...I sure liked it when Yao was taking jumpers off screens. He just looked so much more comfortable. Who can block Yao's jumpshot? Yao should emulate KG. How bout that pass from Yao in the high post to TMac down low?

This is one of the reasons why I would like to see Yao get tutored by Vlade. Vlade was superb in a skillset that I think Yao would be great at. Yao is not Shaq, and he shouldn't be relegated to the low post all the time. I like watching good basketball, and I like to see players play to their full potential. I am getting so tired of repeating the same mantra about Yao that I would rather see Yao play on the Lakers with Rudy T to see Yao than have him rot on the Rockets.

    Tutored by Vlade? :D

That would take at least 5 years off Yao's career with all the flopping that he would do.

One aspect that this team is missing is the willingness to step in and take charges. Mo used to be the poster boy for that. Now, only Yao takes charges anymore. Juwon tried it once today, but the ref called it a block (BS after the charges they called for Haslem).

No doubt, there was some serious home town calls going on today.

However, we still shot like crap from the perimeter. Sura is gutty, but teams leave him all alone at the 3 pt line, and he misses a lot.

If Sura could improve his 3pt shot by 5% it would make a huge difference.

nothing to complain, Heat is simply better team. every Rox player did the best. Shaq plays most of his games at same level and Yao can not

I only watched the last few minutes of the game. I was wondering was Yao seeing if he was "sure" (deoderant). Can the guy ever get the ball??

In total agreement here. The Heat seemed to catch every break, but what can you say, it's their home court. No one seemed capbable of preventing Wade from penetrating

It's amazing you keep blaming Yao fot that ONE PNR mistake while he made all the others. Rx rarely plays that PRN w/ Yao this season; today is actually the most they played and it was very effectively. What's your problem? Do you watch the game?

Disagree. If it is the case, then Sura should stop to play as PG.

If you're asking for help, I guess you CAN'T count your own fingers while WATCHING basketball at the same time. There goes your athleticism. :p

Great post! The way Yao is used like a role player just indicates How stupid and stubborn JVG is. Even his brother SVG knows it's not right to keep Yao play low post game. Only when ROX has a good coach like Phil Jackson, can houston become a real contender in this league. The sad thing is nobody knows when this day will come.

Except none of your arguments are based on anything I say? I never said you were a YOF. I never said Sura always passes to Yao. I never said sometimes Sura doesn't pass to Yao.

that tough loss to Kings is going to haunt us. I hope they don't get into a lossing mode.

Errrr...wrong. Yao is used in pick and roll situations all the time. He probably sets at least 10 screens every game.

Second, if you could comprehend, you would already know that I didn't blame Yao for his PNR technique, I blamed the coaching staff.

Finally, I'm a big Yao and a big Rockets fan. I've been to about 15 games this year already. I've been to at least half of hte home games every year for the past 3 years. I watch all the others on tv. I know what I see it person - Yao very frequently turns the wrong way on PNR's. It's bad technique and its hurting the potential PNR game.

How many games have you been to? Do you watch the game? Are you saying that on all the other PNR's Yao is using proper form? Do you understand why, even if the mistake only cost us on one play, and despite some poor technique Yao still scores on the PNR occasionally, that it is important to learn proper technique??
