    LOL! [IMG]

Jerry Krause and the Bulls really have outdone themselves this year. Last year, they pushed the limits of stupidity by drafting 3 point guards, and then on top of that went after Drew, to play parts of the season with a 5-headed Point guard. Of course, the whole debacle of drafting Fizer in the lottery, who happened to play the same position as the team's franchise player was another questionable move at best.

Now, I fail to find an adequate adjective to describe what Chicago did today. They merely traded away the cornerstone of their franchise and possibly the best PF in the East for an unproven stick in Chandler, and a guy in Skinner who couldn't get much playing time on a perennial loser. The Bulls just got two names in Chandler and Skinner that are more known as characters on TV shows than for their basketball exploits.

Ciao Bulls fans. Have a nice decade in the lottery.

As I said in the chat, the Rockets will surpass the Bulls in total titles before the Chicago even makes the playoffs.

    poor gettingbranded.....

he can't even come up with something that looks like a logical arguement to defend his team's draft so he responds with this vague reply...

I may be laughing at you on the outside, but really, I'm crying inside... really....

what's with gettinbranded wanting to compete with us ? You traded a 20/10 guy for a potential 20/10 guy. Think about that. Go hang out with roydelton, you freaking loser.......

I think GIBD is handling things well.

Krouse has a plan. After about 3 more 1-4 lottery picks he will have a team of H Sclers that will peak in about 10 more years. Of course we will see if they can keep them.

That team is going to be aweful next year. They might make a run for the Mavs or Clips all time record.

LAC are improving though. They might win 35%-45% of their games next year.

There is possibly a plan with the madness. Chandler has the skills to be a star that Brand never had. Whether or not he realizes it is another story. However, getting two high schoolers like that makes them a very dangerous team down the road, and possibly a better team than they would've been. It also allows Fizer to play his natural position of PF.

As long as GB has been here, he's never tried to pick fights with any of us. He's not a prick like Roydelton. He comes here and talks basketball. That shouldn't be a crime or anything. The team he cheers for isn't great, they make some questionable decisions, and they have some obnoxious fans like roydelton hanging onto the past. He's not trying to insult you in this thread... he's just laughing cause there is a possibility the Bulls could be better off with this trade down the road and you guys are making them sound like idiots. Lay off of him a little bit...

I doubt the Bulls really care if they are good next year. However, their front line now consists of 2 7-footers, and 3 top-4 draft picks. They have some incredible potential 2-3 yrs from now. If you draft a high schooler, you're looking a couple of years down the road -- why not have two of them then?

I still can't figure out what I think of this trade. Part of me is saying: this trade promises them high lottery picks for 2 more years... then maturation with a team of 5 top 3 picks or so. That sort of team could remind you of the 80's Lakers, when they had 4 former #1's (I think?).

OTOH, part of me is very skeptical about trading a proven all-star PF (Brand's a star even if he isn't a superstar) for a guy who could flop. Chandler, even more, was probably the biggest risk of the "big 3" hs players. I can really see this guy never bulking up and becoming a glorified Carlos Rogers.

Curry could also be another Stanley Roberts.]

But, imo, the key to this deal was Fizer. Chandler can play the 3. So, even of Chandler is a wash with Brand in talent, Chicago can still utilize its talent better and hopefully get a couple more great lottery picks.

I don't think I would have made this trade, were I chicago's GM. But Krause could also look like a genius in 5 years.

I agree. The Bulls have two freaks of nature. They could get real good real fast if Fizer does anything.

Not with their luck with the ping pong balls! Look for the Bulls to have another #4 pick.

I should clarify: I have nothing personal against gettinbranded, though I must say I'm grateful to Jerry Krause for clarifying with this trade the role of his genius in assembling the Bulls dynasty of the 1990s, which is to say, zero. The more I see of Krause, the more I respect Jordan.

It's just gonna be hard waving the Brand banner now that he's on the Clips, or waving the Bulls banner after this trade, whichever way you Brandwagoners decide to go.

And roy, wherever you are, you really deserved to have this thread named after you. Perhaps, now that Brand is officially the (trade) Bait of the Year, you can adjust your alias to boy_d_elton.

And now, please excuse me while I try to find my way back to the high road ...

    Brandwagoneers is funny though.
