Go to Gallery Furniture. They have a huge variety of very comfortable beds, with many different Price ranges. They even offer the exclusive Tempurpedics. That will cost you a grip though.

Just buy the cheapest mattress and buy yourself an ergonomic foam pad thing from like Linens and Things. Soooo comfortable. Sometimes too comfortable to the point where I cant get up to go to class on time.
I just bought the Tempurpedic mattress. This is made out of the NASA space foam they used for Astrounauts. It basically adjusts to the curves of your body. It comes in 3 versions. The basic 8 inch foam version is called the Classic and runs around $2000. The 10 inch foam version is called the Deluxe and costs around $2400. The top of the line version is called the Celebrity and is basically the Deluxe version with another foam pillow-top. Very Nice and costs around $3400. Well I ordered the Deluxe version and it is super soft. The foam is really incredible. It also comes with a 20 year warranty where as most box spring mattresses come with a 10 year warranty. We tested out alot of the top end mattresses including the pillow-tops and the sleep number beds. The Sleep number bed sucked. They have some $5000 version which is ok but that price is crazy. I decided purchasing the mattress from 1-800-Mattress. The Tempurpedic was out of stock until Feb 8th. So since my current mattress was killing me. They gave me a $2000 brand new Serta Perfect Night pillowtop mattress as a loaner. It came about 2 weeks ago when I placed the order. So I just pay the difference of $400 for the Temperpedic when it arrives. No new delivery or set up charges. Plus I have a one time exchange upgrade with Dial a Mattress. I can exchange the mattress or upgrade one time during if I am not satisified with the Temperpedic.
My buddy who used to work for the Mattress Firm said its a better to go with a plush top. Its the pillow top, but they put stuffing from the pillow top is inside the mattress instead of laying on top.
Over 20 responses and not one mention of "fomfotable"? The YoYao legacy is dwindling to an insignificant remembrance and somewhere his mother weeps silently into the cold, somber night with only a vague notion of how things used to be...
Man, after reading all this I don't feel so bad about leaving my bed in the dumpster. All these years I thought my bed was a product of conspicuous consumption. I spent 500 bucks on this super firm Japanese mattress in Koreatown a few years ago and I've yet to find a better bed. And yes, I tried to give it to charity and no one would take it. Apparently used mattresses aren't even up to the standards of the local Salvation Army or "Out of the Closet", and I got tired of the smug refusals over the phone. If I could, I'd take it with me. Its the bed for people who don't like beds I was used to sleeping on the floor or on futons but my girlfriend moved in with me and she wasn't about to sleep on the floor like a Japanese Cowboy. So after a brief, but intense argument, I picked out a matress that was so firm, the delivery guy didn't know which was the boxspring and which was the mattress. I'd give it to you, but I live in LA, well, for about 12 more hours anyway
