    "Chinese food."
--Yao's reply when Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy asked what type of food Yao's mother cooked for him at lunch.

They list Shaq at 325lb, but he looks bigger than that doesn't he?

Anyway, looking at the stats comaprison for the two in all of the meetings together including the playoff, I think Yao did a pretty good job at containing Shaq and that Shaq didn't really dominate Yao. What other player thats able to guard Shaq better than Yao?

    Yao/Shaq

    (RPG)8.4/9.8
    (BPG)1.9/2.5
    (APG)1.9/2.8
    (FG%).437 (73-167)/.525 (93-177)
    (FT%).837 (31-37)/.483 (57-118)
    (MPG)35.5/42.2

    (Best game against the other)

If you just use the 9 games they played head to head last year, you will see that Yao was more than holding his own against Shaq daddy. Actually Yao outplayed Shaq in 5 of those 9 meetings (first 3 regular season games and 2 games in the playoffs).

    FIVE??? FIVE?????!?!?!?!?!

Man, those are some DUMB producers/executives/directors/actors who don't learn from HISTORY. On the third one, I would have said: "NO WAY... If I am going to be in a movie with him, I don't want to be associated..."

I wonder where the 30 pounds Yao has gained since his rookie season have gone? If you can't tell, does that mean he can get up to 350 without looking fat?

How about the # of FTs in these games?

Shaq, 118 FTs attempted. Yao, 37 FTs attempted. That's the biggest difference right now.
