Harris county should do the same thing. ------------------ GO YANKEES!!! KICK SOME METS A$$!!! 5 GAMES BABY!!
If mandatory seatbelts are laws in many states, then no cellphones while driving should be considered. Many companies have policies that employees must pull over to use the phone and that makes sense. Cell phone use while driving is a problem, IMO. ------------------ "UNBEATABLE"
I agree that it is very dangerous, but I don't mind people makin a quick call to answer their question. Anything that distracts you from the road is a danger. Most of my near misses have been from scoping out chics. Then fiddleing with the stereo comes in a far second. I believe much of the blame comes from the cell phone companies themselves. If you are handed 450 min, you are going to want to use all 450 min. I believe that if you are billed for what you use, then the amount of cell phone use would be cut dramatically. ------------------ ...out with the old, in with the new...
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm betting I'm far more likely to have a wreck because I'm messing with the radio/cd or talking to a passenger. I usually don't have to look away from the road with my cell phone..but I do with a passenger and also with the radio. Just a thought. ------------------
You're responding and interacting with someone on the phone. With a radio, you just sit and listen. I'm not sure about everyone else, but it takes far less concentration for me to listen to a radio/CD than it does to talk to my boss or friend on a cell phone while driving. ------------------ We Want LANGHI!
Also, most of the time when you're talking on a cell phone, you only have one hand on the wheel (I know about the headset phones). I normally put my 10 CDs in, hit shuffle, and enjoy the ride. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com
