I figured they weren't going to have a big state funeral for him, but I'm suprised at this reaction. :(

Zhao will be one day get his rightful place in Chinese history as one of the great mastermind behind China's economic success. But it will won't happen until the generation of leader lead by Jiang are dead (about 20 years).

Through out history, the idea of being open-minded has scared China for some reason- and this has had devastating consequences.

For Chinese communist leadership, maintains so call "Stable of the society" is the one of the most important goals in their agenda. they consider "Stable of the society" along with huge market as the most important factors to grow their economy since 1989. Anything that could potentially cause the unstable of the society will not be tolerated.

    FREE CHINA !!!!

Let the people understand what it is like to have a true elected government.

I just don't understand why Taiwan doesn't want to join them....

In China today, people could care less who is elected. Everyone cares about the Yuan/$. People are too busy trying to make money to put up protests. :)
