i used to always yahoo...don't really know how or when the transition happened, but it did. and now i only google.

damn, how did yahoo lose it's monopoly? it seems more like a "homesite" type thing than a search engine. google has for sure taken the search engine monopoly over.

For general searches, I use Copernicus and Google. Google is what I use most.

I use Yahoo simply because I use their services for email and fantasy sports. Plus I don't really do searches all that often.

For anyone that uses Google, I highly recommend the google toolbar. With it you can run a search without having to actually go to google.com. http://toolbar.google.com/

Just FYI, Google toolbar is in fact a mini spyware. Not that I care, but Google can actually track down your information and history. But, Google has my trust of not doing bad things with them, so I don't mind it.

(Shall we get nit-picky and claim yahoo is a directory and not a search engine?)

I haven't bought into google. I'm cool with yahoo & altavista.

I like using firefox's search bar, i have added the wikipedia search and use it for cultural references, i use the IMDB search for movies and actors and I use google for everything else. The cool thing about the search bar is you can add hundreds of search engines and use them from your browser without having to go to the website!! Neato mosquito!

wow, i thought that was just the google toolbar i never got rid of back in firefox. didn't realize it had other sites right in there. even has dictionary.com, which i use every now and then for a quick look-up. wikipedia seems like a good one to add to it.

I've been using Query Server for about five years, and it seems to work fine. I do use Google sometimes, but mainly just for images
