All I got to say for Iron Mike is...Who's next?

    ------------------
Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

I don't think Golota should have to forfeit any of his purse. The guy took his licks. He could've stayed down when he was knocked out, and nobody would've said anything. In the interview, he said he was dizzy (at least I think that's what he said). So was he scared or what? He had already taken some good shots. For the life of me I don't see how Tyson kept missing the guy. He was leaving himself wide open the whole time, and Tyson just couldn't seem to get many shots in. Maybe he was just surprised how easy it was, I don't know.

Anyway, DO NOT take Golota's money away...if you do, I better be getting some of mine back for the PPV. Somehow I don't see that happening.

I guess Tyson/Lewis may be inevitable. I still don't think Tyson's earned it, but boxing needs it I suppose, and it's all about the money in this 'sport'. If Lewis isn't intimidated, I see him having a fairly easy time.

`There's no question he sustained a concussion from head blows,' Yapor
    said.

Yeah know, it never surprises me just how gullible they think some sportsfans are. Here is a physician, a neurosurgeon yet, who states the ubiquitous as if there is any choice. He makes it sound as if there ever was a question that two fighters facing one another with intend to win, would be heading towards anything other than to knock the hell out of one another's brains.

The idea in amateur boxing is to score points by placement of blows. In theory, a knockdown amounts to the same "points awarded" as any other well-placed strike.

In professional boxing, the goal is to make the other guy suffer enough brain concussions that his brain shutsdown while he is in the ring and he becomes unconscious.

Everytime he has been hit to the head. Everytime he goes down. Everytime a fighter is knocked out. He has suffered a consussive brain blow. There are certainly degrees of concussion. There also are other factors such as incidents of successive concussions, recovery periods and inherent pathologies that may limit the ability of the body (brain) to recover.

But make no mistake. Every boxer suffers some degree of concussion, even at a minimal level of direct head blows.
