He was 79. "Mr. Carson passed away peacefully early Sunday morning," his nephew, Jeff Sotzing, told The Associated Press. "He was surrounded by his family, whose loss will be immeasurable. There will be no memorial service." Sotzing would not give further details, including the time of death or the location. The boyish-looking Nebraska native with the disarming grin, who survived every attempt to topple him from his late-night talk show throne, was a star who managed never to distance himself from his audience. +++
just turned on the TV today. This is truely a sad thing.. I grew up watching his show as the last thing I saw before I went to sleep. RIP Johnny Thanks for the laughs.
I guess most of you are too young to ever seen him but the man was the definition of cool to me. I stayed up every night to watch the monologue after my parents went to bed. He lived an awesome life..Hiyooo!
I remember one time he was doing his Carnac the Magnificent character, on April 1st, and his crew decided to play a joke on him. Remember how he would rip the end of the envelope off and blow into it to open it up? The crew filled one of the envelopes with talcum powder, and when he blew into it, it all flew up into his face. He laughed so hard he could not finish the bit. RIP, Carnac. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.
I remember when i was young and i would stay up to watch it during the summers since i wasn't allowed to stay up that late. I didn't get most of it but as i got older it got a lot funnier. RIP
his last show was in the early Nineties, he was the King of Late Night!! everybody remembers watching Johnny growing up! RIP Mr. Carson
