We could get Lenny Wilkens as an assistant, he knows alot about old people.

I am a little miffed because if Jersey takes him, then they won't take Taylor off our hands

how do you all like the Pistons possible getting Arroyo for nothing but a future first rounder

I would like to pick him up for future trade chip. At least some other teams want him but they can not sign him. Maybe Campell could make Taylor trade a little more attractive. The worst case is that he can be backup center of Muto if Yao is absent.

Campbell was never Knick at any point in his career so despite his age, I think it is unlikely JVG will allow CD to give him a look.

I wasn't talkin about him for a backup center...I always have seen him as a 4.....even in his days as a laker.........he never was a prototype center.......I think he'e fit nice at the 4........decent defense...he rebounds........doesn't have to play with his back to the basket...........

and most of all the most important reason is he'd be cheap and for one season!!!

Pick him up - he is very strong banger. I saw him throw David Robinson to the floor as a Laker in the '95 playoffs.

I guess the price for Arroyo was too steep for the Rockets. JVG must want to keep that pick badly..

I think we have enough old guys for now... we really need to look at some young talent instead or else we will be rebuilding forever..

If we every season have to totally redo the roster then we will never achieve anything.. short-term thinking is fine but you have to add some young talent too or it will all be for nothing

Sign him up! That's where having trade exceptions come in. This would help our frontcourt in the case we do happen to move Mo.
Hey, stanger things have happened. Also, If Deke would happen to go down with some unforeseen injury, Campbell would be a godsend. Especially in the playoffs.

We should sign this guy if he can get into game shape.

    Well hey, let's sign everyone.

Who do we cut to make room? Strickland is the only obvious choice. But we need him to insure Bobby.

Barrett? People would puke if we cut him. (I don't think he should be either) Spoon and his salary? I don't think so.

    I don't see the room

I don't think he can help us out much although I will give him credit for playing well in the playoffs last year.
I don't think the Rockets will go after him but anything is possible.

How does a major newspaper like the Detroit Free Press make such a blatantly incorrect statement? The Rockets are clearly not under the salary cap. They're barely under the Luxury Tax threshhold. :D

We've got 15 roster spots filled and as long as we have Taylor and Spoon we need Andre Barrett more than we need Elden. The only way this happens is if we play a Lightining Round of "Let's Deal Mo T".
