    We know Steve put all his heart and effort for the rockets organization during his 5 years in Houston. He was a leader here and being loyal to the fans and the city. He deserves it.. Sorry for open a new thread for it .

    LOL, while I feel this should be posted in the game thread...

    I will be there at the game cheering during intros...any other time, he is just another player out there playing for the other team. (which means I hate him).

    Let's give Steve standing ovation when he's introduced;

    Let's also cheer when he scores;

    then Steve will break down emotionally with tears streaking down his cheeks;

    At half time he goes into the locker room & never comes out to play again.

    He doesn't deserve to be boo'd at all, imo.

    Having shortcomings as a player isn't cause for boo's.

    If he were a smack talkin punk, who dissed the city, then that's different.

    True, the only reason a player should be booed is if he left on bad terms, but Steve left on pretty good terms with the fans. Besides, he has said on countless ocassions how much he misses H-town. No reason to boo him.

    Besides, we gotta leave open the possibility of him or Cuttino [now on Kings] returning to the Rockets one day.

    Oh, most definitely.. I will be wearing my Francis jersey and cheering everytime he touches the ball. He isn't Scottie Quitten, whom I refuse to even acknowledge as a former Rocket.

    Just get the crowd chanting "Cat! Cat! Cat!" and he'll leave the game with tears trailing crying for his cell phone. :D

    He gave many of us hope when we knew Dream's days were numbered, and he made rebuilding half as bad. He was a model citizen for the most part, so he gets my O.

    Okay, simple: cheer him pre-game and boo him during the game. Wave bye-bye after the game.

    I don't see a reason to boo him. Give him his due during pre-game intros only. After that, and from now on, he is just another player.

    I think Steve deserves a nice round of applause from the crowd. However, let's not go over board with the standing ovation. This isn't like Rudy T or Hakeem making their return to Houston. We made 1 postseason during his tenure.

    I do hope the fans give him AND Cato a nice round of applause.

    They both played hard for us...they deserve it.

    I wont be at the game as I dont live in Houston.

    But if I was there I would give Steve a standing ovation. I dont think he deserves to be booed. I would do the same for Mobley when Sac visits a few days later.

    Steve didn't want to be traded, so he doesn't deserve to be booed. I hope the Houston fans show a lot more class than the Orlando fans, and give him a standing ovation.
