Maybe the Rockets Organization would have held JJ in higher regard if he made more of those ridiculously wide open three point looks.

Don't get me wrong, JJ is a good servicable NBA player, but geez, how many extremely wide open looks could he not put down for the Rockets. I got sick of seeing it.

I wonder if Kobe thought JJ was a ball handler when he basically took the ball from him in the OT in Game 4 of the playoffs.

"The reason they gave me for the trade was that they needed a point guard and a ball handler," Jackson said. "I handle the ball. David Wesley is a very good player but has he played point guard yet? They went out and signed two point guards. So, to me, that means that it was something else."

I'm sorry Jim, but, no, you don't handle the ball. Jim's handles are suspect at best; a turnover waiting to happen. Not taking anything away from Jim, but we did gain more handles in David Wesley.

Is it coincidence that our fastbreaks are up? - And that Wesley is routinely finishing our breaks? Wesley isn't a savior but has brought a different energy and skillsets from JJ.

Rockets lost much more in the trade. Rockets=Old Clippers

I would like to see Yao and YOFs leave this no-respect all-bussiness orginaztion.

Damn, I felt bad for him at first, but just take yo ass to Phoenix already, it's over.

You're going to a better team now, so just be happy and go play.

That is incredibly weak on his part. The Rockets have been better without him. Even though Wesley's shots haven't been falling, he IS a better ball handler and he runs the break better. I can't count the number of times Jackson pulled up on the break way out at the three point line.

That was, plain and simple, a better fit for the team in terms of chemistry.

lol, exactly what jumped to my mind. (was at that game) Kobe toyed with Jim's lack of ball handling the whole game and got that big heartbreaking steal at the end.

Besides bad handles, Jim has a hard time with skill assessments :D

Bottom line results for Jim Jackson:

    10-14 with him.

    9-4 since the trade.

    12-5 without him overall.

You got what you wanted. You're now with the team with the 2nd best record in the NBA.

    Jim Jackson: 41.3 mpg, 3.6 assists, 2.33 turnovers - 1.53 A/TO

    David Wesley: 33.5 mpg, 3.1 assists, .77 turnovers - 4.00 A/TO

Yeah Jim, calling Wesley a better ball handler than you is a huge stretch...

Yes, they've been bought..........until they decide they don't wanna put up with your garbage anymore and then they can walk away and forfeit the pay. Employees are allowed to quit any job in this country. When they aren't allowed to quit and are forced to work in a certain environment for a certain wage against their own free will, they become slaves.

So you've never slacked off at your job before? You've always spend every single second of your work time on the job in front of you?

I don't see why the T-Mac comparison has to appear. It should be obvious that just about ever NBA player takes plays off, have trouble giving 100% every minute they're on the court. If not, then the player either rarely gets playing time, or he's not a human being. JVG put it best when he said the only difference with T-Mac and other NBA players was that he admitted to it.

Depends. If he has a family to support, then yes. I would. Most people aren't fortunate enough to be able to make stands like that. If they don't work, they can't pay rent, they can't pay bills, they can't feed their children or keep a roof over their head. Further, while I generally respect your contributions to this board, I think you've gone overboard here. When he signed with the Rockets, he signed a contract that had no clause in which stated he could not or would not be traded. He was traded and that's part of his job: the job that pays him more money than most people would dare dream of. I'm not suggesting you can treat a person anyway you want if you pay them enough money, there is a line, but that line isn't trading them to a losing team. Personally, for the kind of money Jim Jackson makes, my line would be something like tying me to a post and giving me fifty lashes with a whip. If they do that, they've gone too far! However, for Steve Francis money, they can do that too.

Jim Jackson doesn't have to be happy about being traded to the Hornets, but I don't have to like how he handled it either. I'm really getting sick of all these players demanding to be traded; T-Mac included.

and (not to pile on here) but Wesley also seems to know when to stop jacking up shots

Wesley goes 1 for 7, his next shot is a lay up
Jackson goes 1 for 7 - its time for ANOTHER THREE !!!

... Also, why the hell is he so mad at Houston - he has been with 12 teams now - he had to traded away a few more times

bottow line - JJ was signed to play with Cat and SF3 - he and Tmac play the same position - and Tmac needs more shots

... I have said this before - and I will say it again - unless they move Joe Johnson for a BIG, this is not a deal that helps the Suns

Jackson will take shots away from the better shooters on the floor - he should have gone to Miami

all I know is that Casey Jake lit us up, but if we had problems being the suns before, you know jimmy is gonna make some monster shots against us, or not... :)

I don't know JJ but you can tell that he hasn't changed from the days when people questioned his character. He even mentioned it when he said it was personal. Maybe he was the clown that wasn't funny or b****ed out the staff or got into CD's face about whatever.

I feel the Rockets have class by not responding to BS Steve and JJ have been putting out there.

At least CD and Jeff aren't like the Magic org. or the Lakers or the Pistons or the Hornets or all these organizations that spread the dirt during the process of firing or trading one of their very highly paid empolyees with awesome airtight contracts.

These guys whine even though they don't lose sheet.

JJ was good player. He was no worse than Cat and his shot selections or SF and his.

I am very happy with Rocket Management because they got rid of Moochie before the full 6 years:D :D

Finally based on 82games.com. JJ is a slightly better performer than Wesley as far as +/- pts when he is on the bench or not. But combined with Nachbar, Wesley is a better option than JJ & BN. <b>In other words losing Nacbar is the reason we are winning more not because Wesley and JJ were traded for each other.

    I can understand that
    but i am also sick
of the MAKING one set of rules for these players
    because they rich
and another set for the everyday guy

    As for slacking
    YEA. . .EVERYONE slacks
EVERYONE . .. but it is a matter of win
Slack in practice. . . slack in the off season
but to slack during games is unacceptable
and I won't even say that this is all T-mac
    or
    even NOT Francis. . .
but to admit it . . ..well that is like spitting in someone's face
esp a season ticket holder or some poor guy who just
blew half his check to see u perform

If i save up my money to watch the Opera Singer sing
I want her to give her best THAT NITE . . .

You can slack at your job . . fine
but to do it at the weekly deadline is unacceptable

So Class is. . .screw someone . . and when they say you screwed them . . . just don't respond?

Honestly, If it were I . . . I'd be kewl and say screw the rockets
I'm a magic now or a Sun or a hornet

I've never made millions. . .so it would be nice to make it
    but . . . i think once u are financially comfortable
then u can make those kind of decisions
    *shrug*
I think we resent the fact that they could make those decisions
unlike some joe smo who makes 35K a year
it is because they got power . .. and joe don't

but in the end they both employees
when employees are treated what they feel is unfairly
    they BAM
They can BAM more publically, and not show up becuase they
ok whether they got the job or not
joe Smo cannot cause he REALLY has mouths to feed
[however .. . this maybe steering this thread to the D&D
    . . . . sorry]

There is always that. Also, JJ has been on how many teams now? There is a reason he keeps getting traded. I have lost respect for JJ with his immature attitude about this. He is a vet, he has been traded how many times? And now he is going to pitch a fit about being traded for a PG which we really needed?

But look what New Orleans did...traded David Wesley for Bostjan Nachbar, Casey Jacobsen, Maciej Lampe and Jackson Vroman

Not a bad deal at all.
