I hope SF gets a nice round of applause from the TC. Grant it that we never won under Francis, but the guy gave it his all here and truly loved this city.
Agreed. Franchise truly loved the Rockets and despite everything, never badmouthed them and NEVER quit on them. In my book, he'll be a Rocket forever.
I like Steve, he is a good guy. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for him here. Steve will get very emotional here, play out of control, the Magic will get blowed away because of that.
I hope Francis gets booed. Not because he's no longer a Rocket or because he's Weisey's boy, but because he plays for, y'know, the other team. The one we're trying to beat.
Hey, clap all you want when the guy's introduced, but I hope he has the worst game of his life so we can get four games over .500. Guess rooting against the other team is STUPID. I mean, gee, why can't they BOTH win?! Edit: Ya tool. No offense.
if we can beat them in orlando we should own them in houston considering their recent road record. of course, who knows how we'll shoot from the perimeter in any given game.
Stevie should get a warm reception here, he laid it all out for the Rockets, and he loved being a Rocket. He just hasn't been the right fit since he won that ping-pong ball in the lottery. I hope the Rockets win by 30 and Stevie has a horrible game, ONLY because he is playing for the opposition. After that I hope Stevie and the Magic do well the rest of the season, especially against the West teams we're fighting with for playoff position.
I'll probably give Steve a standing ovation at the game. It was strange seeing him playing in another uniform on Thursday. Rockets should win this one. Rockets 110 Orland 97 T-Mac 30 8 rebounds Sura 15 pts. 10 assists 7 rebounds
Yao 35 points, 12 boards. SF3 33 points, 10 boards, 10 assists, 10 blocks and 10 turnovers. Rockets wins 102-96.
Let's give Steve standing ovation when he's introduced; Let's also cheer when he scores; then Steve will break down emotionally with tears streaking down his cheeks; At half time he goes into the locker room & never came out to play again.
If the Magic can get over the flu bug and Grant Hill plays, they will win in a nail-biter. Francis won't repeat the first 45 minutes of his performance versus the Sixers when he plays the Rockets, especially not in Houston, but he'll likely come out a bit energetic and try to control the ball. Eventually, Johnny Davis is going to get the clue that yes, he can feed the ball to Dwight Howard more and he will get production. He did that for a bit versus Sam Dalembert tonight and it worked; why he hasn't done more if it is beyond me. He'll be the X-factor above all else on Monday...because I don't think the Rockets will be able to stop him unless Yao goes on him, which will free up Cato for the Francis-Cato hookups we see quite a bit of herein Orlando. I'm sure Francis will get a warm reception in Houston, as he has never given the Houston fans (unlike McGrady in Orlando) something to hate him about. He left the town on good terms, laying it out on the line every game. I'm just waiting to see what the press -- on both sides -- makes of the game, both before and after. I'm not sure I've found an even-sided article written by either side since the trade...whether it's Orlando media blasting McGrady (which for the most part has been played out to be truth by McGrady himself) or some in the Houston media blasting either Francis, Weisbrod, or the Orlando media (which is kinda ridiculous, really). Here's to a good game...and no, I don't go into hiding. I just don't have the time to spend going through every last post & thread.
I won't be at the game. Too bad. But I will watch it and hope Steve does well but Magic lose. That would be best. As for cheering for Steve, he deserves it. Give him a good cheer when he is introduce if you are at the TC. But don't forever to cheer the home team to victory. Yao and TMac and the rest of the team deserves it. Steve is all heart but.... no B-Ball IQ. That's just too bad. If he had half the B-ball IQ Yao had, We would have been contenders and likely not traded for TMac. Steve has the skills.
