Steve is a really good person inside, and that is precisely why he wears his emotions on his sleeves. He really loved Houston and the Rockets, and I have no doubt whatsoever that all this bickering and lashing out at JVG and the organization is just because he is truly hurt about leaving not just the city, but the Rockets as well. The Rockets, IMHO, were Stevie's identity and sense of belonging, and when that was taken away from him (in his opinion by JVG), then he was extremely offended and hurt, and he felt like his sense of identity and security/comfort-zone was taken away. BTW, let's remain a classy city and show how loyal and thankful we are for the years Stevie spent in Houston. I really and honestly hope that no booing will go on during the game, it would not only make us look bad, but would me completely undeserved in my opinion for a guy who tried as hard as he could. Lets show our gratitude and respect for the man on Monday, I know I will... --Tiger
Let's give Steve standing ovation when he's introduced; Let's also cheer when he scores; then Steve will break down emotionally with tears streaking down his cheeks; At half time he goes into the locker room & never comes out to play again.
Well said. Steve is a different situation from TMac. Steve didn't want to leave Houston. He would love to stay. He is very loyal to the Rocket team. I felt sorry that he was being push out although it is for the best of Rocket future. I would certainly give him the standing ovation for what he had done for our ball club. I wish we could find a way to get him back in the future. I don't think he really wants to play for Orlando, especially Cat was traded.
to me ..we OWE him a standing ovation..because he was REALLY REALLY loyal to the rockets...he resign with the team without looking at another team options..and look what we did to him..i kind of feel really sorry for him....but i would take t-mac over him anyday though..did you guys see that last thursday game..? he STILL makes the same stupid mistakes..like dribbling out of bound...but that enough.i would give him a standing ovation...but too bad i'm not gonna be at the game
