    S. Nash 12 As, 13 pts
    Amare 33 pts.
Is Nash the PG that we need? I say no.

i was there too. in the 400 section. i agree the place was going nuts tonight and i was with some of the most annoying fans ever. they kept yelling at the top of their lungs that the refs were blind on just about every play. the best part by far was when the place was dead silent aside from some Rox fans when Padgett hit that shot. My friend left his scarf at his seat so I listened as everyone walked by. It was hilarious. I basically heard two conversations....
    1) Scott Padgett! Scott Padgett!!! Only the Knicks could lose on a shot by Scott Padgett!

    2) What the hell was Steph thinking? He should have taken the damn shot!

Maybe the return of his mid range jumper is the indication that Yao is now fully recovered from the early injury?

Does anyone else wonder how great tmac will be when we have bigmen that can actually finish around the basket? He keeps zipping these passes into Dike and Howard, and they blow the shot time after time. When i find myself wishing that we still had Cato because of his finishing ability, we've got problems.

The pick and roll with Tmac and Juwan has got to go. The Knicks must have scored 15 points on our botched pnr's involving these two. Either Howard bricks it, or gets blocked, or gets it stolen. Last night he managed to travel when taking a wide open jumper. This is the single play that led the Magic to 21 wins.

My solution: use a big man that can actually shoot the ball, i.e. Yao. Padgett also did a great job on this play tonight. Thank god for Padgett.

Howard is garbage on this team. He is a one-dimensional player who cannot even use his one dimension well. He's a shooting power forward who can't shoot to save his life. The botched rebound on the freethrow started our incredible collapse.

With that said, I think Juwan can be a decent player off the bench. Maybe let him post up more when the matchup favors him. But until then, we need to stop relying so heavily on the pick and roll with him.

Feels good to pull a win out of our asses. I can't believe the Knicks built their team around Marbury and Crawford. It's like they're thinking, "hey, you know those two guards in Houston? We need to build a team like THAT!"

Yao blocked three shots and has averaged 3.3 in his past seven games

haven't read any of the thread just a few observations, recorded the game, i just watched it...

the knicks are pretty terrible actually they're probably one of the worst teams i've seen in a while. i'm thinking if we had somewhat fresher legs it would have been a blowout. that being said, the rockets looked like they'd just played the last 4 nights straight and this afternoon as well. i guess that's what comes with being the oldest team in history.

yao should have had atleast 35 tonight and if not that he should have taken atleast 25 shots in an attempt to get there. i mean he only had one more fg attempt then t-mac had 3pt attempts. he was feeling it but went too many stretches without getting the ball. not so bad cause this is really the first game i've thought to complain about his touches.

bob sura while not a real pg is almost as valuable as t-mac right now. i'd like to know the plus/minus on him cause it seems like the offense really struggles when he's out. i just hope that knee holds up.

I just watched it (Tivo). The last play is great!

There was a neat bit of irony in last play. After Scott Padgett scored for real....they showed a replay, but instead of showing the play, they cut to the Rockets bench and shows them standing and watching as the ball goes through the hoop. The Rox bench jump up-and-down with hands in the air (Ewing and Ward...)!

What was ironic? It was just weird watching Ewing and Ward jump up and down cheering the Rockets (Hell yeah!), within the backdrop of Madison Square Garden while the NY fans were just standing there, stunned and silent! :D

With this lineup on the floor we do best: Sura Wesley McGrady Howard Ming, with a 71% win percentage.

Sura's +/-, as of 2 games ago, is +4.2, second to Tmac among Rockets that get significant playing time.

I think that any team is a little tired after 4 games in 5 night. To beat any other team at that point is an accomplishment.
