Let's not get carried away. He was struggling to keep up with Pat Garrity last night.

I've been saying this for a long time. he can rebound just as good as howard, he has better handels and is a way better shooter. infact he can spread the floor much better for yao. he could creat alot of Mismatches for us!

i didn't wanna start a thread to make it look like i was reacting to his shot but like i said in the game thread, i would like him to at least be a rotation player, not someone who pops in every 10 games. nothing big, 10-15 minutes a night. while he has limited skills, he doesn't usually do anything to hurt you like turnovers or stupid shots or forgetting to box out, and he has such a nice shot to spread the floor. i realize we're paying the other PF's 14 million dollars (well just mo and juwan) so it's kind of hard to justify not playing them but oh well. if we can ever dump one of them we should keep padgett around for a while.

he made 5 or 6 horrible plays that I thought were going to end up costing us the game...many of those in rapid succession and in the 4th quarter no less. not to mention he fouls like crazy. no starting job for him.

with all of that said, the buzzbeater makes up for it. serves the knicks right too. :D

Great point. He hit a game winner, lets make him a starter. While we're at it, lets give him a max contract.

and when was the last time he had significant floor time? he might be a bit rusty....

he always makes good things happen, which is also reflected in his +/- numbers.

can't understand why JVG sits him in favor of a totally struggling Mo for so many games

I would say no, his defense is a big liability.

I think he and spoon are great backups for Howard (they give you something different - shooter or rebounder)

but Howard still needs to start - he looked good in the first half and played like garbage in the 2nd

Yeah i totally agree. Padgett is great if the teams are doubling T-mac on the pick and roll. If Padgett can give us 7-10 pts a game that would be awesome.
