    How about this case:

    Player A: 12/20 FG 0/0 FT 0 TO 3 A
    Player B: 0/2 FG 0/0 FT 0 TO 3 A

    Player A efficiency: (24+6-0)/40 = 0.75
    Player B efficiency: (0+6-0)/4 = 1.5

Although Player A made the same number of assists as B and made 24 more points than B at 60% shooting percentage, Player B is 2 times more efficient than player A. I doubt you can find one person besides you think this make sense.

In silk's original equation, he didn't include offensive rebound at all, if you take out the offensive rebount, Olajuwon's efficiency is 56 for both years, the same as Yao's efficiency this year. So silk, you think this year's Yao is as efficient as Olajuwon in championship years?

NBA is a muti-billions business. A lot of statistics have been used to compare the efficiency and effectiveness of the players. If your formula is workable, I think you have already been a millionaire by assisting the GMs such our CD to select/trade/dump/acquire players, and certainly don't have time to write this S****/B**** formula to us.

Finally, you have spoken out your real intention of this thread:)
All you want is that you hate YM and you do by all means to construct this so-called formula to fulfill your intention. OK, you win. You can go home to sleep now.

Now Dream is exposed to be a far inferior player than Smith during the years when the Rockets won the championships. Thanks for the great formula, man.:p
