Is there a way to get cheap airline tickets at the last minute? I'm in college right now, and just want to go some where for a day or two. I don't have to plan anything ahead...I just want to decide to go somewhere and then get a ticket the day I choose to go. I was thinking that airlines might sell tickets to less than full flights for a heavily discounted rate the day of departure...Is there anything like that? Thanks...
AIRTRAN they offer tickets for college ages students for around $34 each way. but they are on stand by basis. just make sure the flight legs you are traveling are generally empty. call and ask in advance.
