    it is pretty good:D
you might want to ad the .
otherwise some people might start agreeing with you :D

I do not know why so many people here do not like francis. i can understand that when he played for us some people were frustrated. but he played very good then and he still does. ok he makes some stupid mistakes, but alot of others do the same.
He ALWAYS works hard. let it rest he does not play for us anymore, so now enjoy his game, because it is entertainable(and it doesn't cost us wins:D)
BTW i have always been a francis fan since we drafted him. he is very talented.

If you'd have responded to my original post, you'd have observed you were not mentioned. You were added after you erased the words in my post and inserted "cluck, cluck, cluck". If my insertion of your name at that point represents "personalizing" or labeling you as a "homosexual", you have some serious issues and need professioinal guidance.

Sometimes I'm a little slow but our latest exchange has illuminated something I should have been aware of for a long time. You're choice of monikers with intitials "SF" appears to be no accidient. It should have been obvious to me long ago, but you're not a Rockets' fan....you're a SteveOnlyFan. Don't even try to deny it.

When the majority mood on this board swings against Carroll Dawson, Jeff Van Gundy, Yao Ming, the Rice trade exception, how well the Rockets are playing in spite of their record....where's SFisher? Where's your sense of balancing the "con" then? The answer? Nowhere to be found. It's only righteous to defend Steve Francis from "da haters". There are soooo many these days....where does one start?

I guess I should feel flattered. Of all those who critique Francis (and I do so sparingly these days), you chose to honor me with a response. There is the high likelihood here that the underlying principle is that I speak the truth. You know what they say...."the truth hurts"...

I'm going to leave you with one of these.... :D ..... You forgot to use one when you told us all that Francis was "a 1st ballot HOF'er". When I questioned you about the statement, I got some psuedo-eloquent BS about you're being sarcastic and my being too dense to figure it out. Of course, that's not personalizing anything....

EDIT: Not even worth a response.

Let's see, GATER, have you been reading this board? I didn't get 8,000 posts talking about Orlando, I've been accused of hating Chinese people, of being a Van Gundy apologist, of all sorts of other things. I would say you should get out more, and do some more non-Orlando related reading, becauses that seems to be your sole contribution these days rather than your salary cap related analysis which I usually find excellent and enjoyable- and I'm being completely sincere about that part.

Well you should have felt flattered. You are a knowledgeable fan. You were speaking the truth when you admitted most of your beliefs are due to personal preferences and feel the need to denigrate. You don't like his style of play, his tatoos I bet to, his whole persona and all ths stuff associated with it; that has some undertones of course but I'm not going to touch that although it undoubtedly plays a role for many on at least a subconscious level.

GATER, let me link to the post to which you are referring, where I wrote:

    http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88859&perpage=30&pagenumber=1

GATER, the following statement is not eloquent, nor even pseudo eloquent, so I apologize in advance for being both not erudite and insulting:

Are you that freaking stupid to not be able to interpret that as a joke? Yes or no, please answer the question.

Oh, and by the way, just perusing that thread it looks like you've got several posts in there, doing what you do best in the area, while I didn't bother to proffer a serious response, I don't think. Now who's obsessed again?

Now GATER, since I have addressed your concerns, please address mine, you haven't addressed a single one, really, you just responded with dime-store insults. While I use those, I put some substance in.

Address my contention that, while francis deserved his fair share of criticism, a lot of the criticism he received was unfair (at least according to the examples I cited), and motivated by subjective dislike rather than objective analysis. You've admitted as much yourself, so I don't know how you could disagree with this. I'm just going to assume you do.

Alternatively, you can address my points about him making his team better, or you can elaborate on your "not making his teammates better" thing and I can distill it and see where it goes, or you can talk about the PG/non PG debate.

Or you can just say: "YOU LOVE SF AND WANT 2 HAVE HIS BABIES CUZ YOUR INITIALS IS SF" which is what you did above. I'd hope that you don't.

    Hold on a minute...

THey actually called travelling in an NBA game?

Is it me or does it seem like any drives that start outside of the paint and end in dunks the NBA player is always travelling. I know Jordan had long strides but most of the time it looked like he was doing the run-up to a Fosbery flop on his way to the hoop.

    PEOPLE PLEASE!

Why get so worked up over a player who no longer plays for the Rockets and one play where the refs are probably more at fault for not calling it?

Should Francis not showboat so often? Probably so and if the refs called him on it more he probably wouldn't. At the same time though he's not costing the Rockets the game or firing the Rockets up so unless you're a Magic or Pistons fan why get so worked up about it?

not the same team as last year with T-Mac.

They've added shot-blocking (Cato & Battie), an all-star in GHill & the 1st pick in the draft (DHoward).

Not exactly the same team that won 21 games last year. Sure, Steve deserves credit for what he's brought to the Magic........ but c'mon..... it's a different team.
