usually when you put a player on the injured list, they aren't traded shortly there after unless their name is Vince Carter.
this is a let down. I didn't see him in the game or on the side lines and figured a new PF might be coming to town.
If this means anything, if means that the Rockets have given up hope that they would be able to move Taylor this season. Oh well...
A couple of things I find interesting about this move. 1) The flu is a very strange reason to put someone on IR. 2) They activated Spoon who can't play because of his leg injury. 3) They waited till RIGHT before the game to make the move. If he is so sick to the extent of them not counting on him playing for a week, then why wait till right before the game starts? If it is a flu, most players miss one or two games at most so why make a move that automatically scratches him from the roster for at least 5 games and replacing him with another player that won't be able to play at all? And, this is all when the depth at PF was already very slim. Things just don't add up for me. Whether is be a coach/player conflict or some trade in the works, something seems to be going on with this situation. But, I could be wrong.
Pooper. I agree with mogrod. I'm not going to get my hopes up that he's going to be moved ... but maybe he's in JVG's doghouse right(twinkie relapse?) now. Going on the IL for the flu is indeed a strange excuse, but eh.
Things do not add up but then again this is not the first time players have been put on the IL for weird reasons. Currently, Dejuan Wagner is indefinitely out with flu (since January 11, 2005).
I would trade Mo T for him....at least he is young and could blossom like Larry Hughes...we know that MoTay is always going to underacheive. DD
