That was the tour. They did 30-minute interviews for a bunch of media one day and we were right after Mix 96.5. It was cool because we were going to turn this thirty-minute interview into a two-hour Genesis special so we wanted to get as much material as we could. Bob Ford, the DJ/Interviewer did a GREAT job of asking questions that involved the entire band (not just Phil Collins). Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks answered most of the questions and I feel they really enjoyed the interview as this was the time when Phil was a monster solo artists.

At some point someone turned on a generator and Mike asked is we'd like to have it cut off. We said that it was okay as we only had so much time and would like to just keep going with the interview. He yelled out the window to turn the generator off and when whoever was operating it tried to balk Mike yelled "You tell him that I said to turn it off!". Then when their manager came out to say "time's up" Mike waved him off and we got about 20 extra minutes with the band. I really believe that most people were focusing on Phil Collins and Mike and Tony appreciated the fact that we were there to interview Genesis - the band and not Genesis - the Phil Collins side project.

I've been to Meribelle's on several occasions. The old timers should remember that it was a whorehouse, as well.

lot's of bands that aren't all that popular to most people. Jimmy Eat World and At The Drive-In probably had the most mainstream success.

Tom Arnold - ran into him on 6th street in Austin. I was hanging out outside Emo's and he walks by with a hooker on each arm. He was friendly, but obviously coked out of his mind.

David Cross - a friend made his DVD, and had me help shoot footage at his Austin show on that tour. Really nice guy and let me drink his beer.

lots of locals like George Foreman, Earl Campbell, Bob Allen, Matt Bullard, Phil Garner, David Boston ,etc.

I had to play through a group with Ed 'Too Tall' Jones in it last week at Barton Creek.

I told him he had given me a lot of thrills in the past, he said "thanks for watching". You mean like thanks for watching the Super Bowl? Uh, no problem.

I was at Torrey Pines with a friend of mine and the starter said to us that he was going to put a 3rd guy in our group and he will meet us on the tee.

Next thing you know I'm in a 10 dollar nassau with OJ. He was a pretty good guy...**** golfer (at least that day he was)...seemed to be a pretty humble guy ( who knows if he was like that before the trial)...very courteous...talked a little football too.

I went to high school with him - graduated the same year, in fact.

The most famous person I've met is Robert Reid in an airport. I live an exciting life. I also saw Dominique Wilkins in an airport once but he really didn't want to be disturbed.

In my family, though, were two ND football players, both deceased. My grandfather played for Rockne but I was about to turn three when he died, so I really couldn't ask him anything about that. My dad's first cousin won an Outland Trophy and is in the Pro Football HOF, but I wasn't that close to him.

I stood in line behind Jerome Bettis for a movie during college, does that count?

Ha! I waited behind Evander Holyfield for a movie in Meyerland, also. "House Party 2".

I knew Bam Morris well in College, also. Apparently me and famous people isn't looking good for them.

no....but he did miss a 4 footer that i think he was hoping i would give him.....when he missed it he was pretty pissed (i think it was a press hole)....i almost made a joke like "you must want to murder me huh?" but i refrained....probably a good thing.

i also joked with my buddy in the cart every time he SLICED his tee shot...there was a lot of opportunity but i figured the guy is out to play golf and have some fun...plus he was really a nice guy
