The only conclusion I can draw from this is that you are completely SHAMELESS. And you are PROUD of being a hater. All you do is posting garbage everywhere. Don't even tell me garbage like "Never ashamed when he puts up more fouls than points" came from an object obverstaion instead of your hating mind.

The next time when you spread your haters message, at least have a courtesey of using a different screen name. The best basketball forum ClutchCity should never be associated with a hater crew like you. Every line you spit out trying to defend yourself is tainting ClucthCity's image.

You should also consider bandwagoning to another forum, like SwiftIsGod.com or something. You should go out compaign for Rockets to trade Yao immediately for Stromile Swift. Why suffer here when you hate Yao so much?

That is the truth teller right there. Amare is just a very athletic man that can get up and down the floor. As far as being a go to option when you need a good bucket in a tight half court game, Amare is not there without a prime time PG throwing him the lob for the dunk. He cannot create his own offense or work out of the double team effectively.

Yao is a much better option in crunch time even with all his troubles.

I'm not blind to Yao's weaknesses but the majority of Yao's problems derive from the fact that he is trying to please everybody, the refs, Van Gundy, the fans, etc. He needs to clear his head and go out and play ball with the support of Van Gundy, not the public criticism of Van Gundy. He has to force the league, and the opponents to adjust to his style of ball, not vice versa. If they are gonna front him, he's gotta demand and Van Gundy has to demand that the guards get him the ball over the top. All they gotta do most of the time on that fronting D is to bang the ball off the backboard for the putback or dribble drive right to Yao and use Yao as a screen since he is already in positon with his man fronting him.

Players used that stupid defense against Moses Malone all the time and we used to go to him from the weakside by design. Dribble drive and throw it off the glass to him. Tip, tip, tip, and kaboom. 3 offensive rebounds, and a dunk. And throw everybody out of the way while you are doing it. LOL, force the refs to call all those offensive fouls.

I don't understand how you guys are so quick to throw that "Yao hater" label when you guys spew the most hate out of anybody on this board.

You don't see people constantly yelling "Van Gundy hater" or "Sura hater" or "Mcgrady hater" or Steve hater" when you bash those people do you?

I really think that Yao is not being used effectively at all.
He got the ball a little more last year, and look how he improved from his rookie year.

This year he gets 4-8 field goals a game, when people are saying he should get around 20- 30 touches a game.

Of course Tracy's numbers are better , there are times he hits a low percentage of his shots but since he shoots it around 25-30 times a game it doesn't look as bad.
One game he got 20 points but he shot 7-20 and the rest were free throws.

For Yao to have a decent game with the touches he gets he needs to hit 80% of his shots, and that's hard for anyone.

Kenny Smith made the point when he was interviewing Steve Francis during halftime of the Nets game that Stevie was shipped out because he wasn't passing the ball to Yao enough, and Yao with his new teammates got all of two touches the entire first half!

I really, really want Yao to stay in Houston, but if his talents are being wasted here then it may be better to trade him, than risk losing him in a couple of years.
    :(

and none of that's on yao??? seriously, you just made the point for people on the other side of the argument!! you honestly think JVG doesn't want Yao to do well? doesn't encourage the players to get the ball down low in the post for higher percentage shots???/

the guy can't establish position. he gets fronted and he's entirely neutralized.

That's actually incorrect, I believe - last year, he was the top vote getter for non-Internet votes as well, if I am not mistaken. I am pretty sure about this.

Why do you need to spew your apparent dislike of Yao in so many threads at the same time?

Are you serious?? It's a Rockets fan board, SJC. We're talking basketball in various threads. We're talking the same subject, with some tweaks, in various threads.

Don't make it personal, SJC. I don't give a rat's ass what you think about me.

I like Yao, personally. Seems like a nice guy, and is a breath of fresh air in that department.

A single Chinese man owns a Chinese restaurant, and one day a beautiful Chinese woman walks in. He immediately walks over and asks her out on a date. She agrees. They go out for a while, and soon, the man proposes to her. She says "Yes, but before we do, there’s something you must know. I have never had the sex, but I’ve read about it." He says that it’s not a problem, and they are married.

On their honeymoon, the man tells his wife that since she’s a virgin, she can choose what they do first. She says "Oh, most honorable husband. I am honored to be your wife, even though I have never had the sex, but I’ve read about it. So, I have chosen to have the 69.

The husband looks confused, and after thinking about it, he says "You want.. the beef and broccoli?"

    LOLOL!
Dude, you made my day. I can't even be angry with you. That's the best laugh I've had in days.

I do have to apologize for two mistakes.

    1. It's clutchfans.net. Clutchcity.net was the old name. The hatred I spew here does not necessarily reflect the views of either site.

    2. I was wrong about the fouls and points. So sorry. In fact, Yao put up two more points than fouls last night. My apologies to Yao and other max NBA players who can put up two more points than fouls.

I promise to stop the "bandwagoning" or the consistent hatred of Yao, whichever accusation you settle on.

Nash made Amare better, and Mcgrady made Yao even worse, that's easy one.

Against that powerful, center-dominated Nets team, Yao had 5 fouls and 6 points.

You can't get the ball when you're on the bench with foul trouble because you hacked a guy or tried to take a charge inside the circle. Also, teammates aren't going to pass it to you when you're 2-8 with 4-5 turnovers, and they are making baskets.

Ok I really hate to say this, because I love watching Yao play and I think he has great potential. But sometimes I try to imagine what our team would be like without him, just so the GARM would be somewhat readable again. :(

Wow, I guess MadMax didn't take the bait.

As has been posted ad nauseum by others contemporaneously, only a complete nimrod who never watched a basketball game in his life, or a complete, foaming at the mouth, Mad Yao disease sufferer, could wholeheartedly argue that Yao Ming deserved to get the basketball more vs. New Jersey, as this poster is, when he put on one of the worst performances of his entire career, and was utterly useless on either end of the court.

Well, I should correct - only a complete idiot and somebody looking to pick personal fights for their own amusement.
