If you have been a Rockets fan for aleast five years, you know that ball movement and player movement have been a problem for a loooooooong time. But not any more. The contrast since "the trade" has been stunning. Now things move! People move (some not very quickly as in Ming's case). The ball moves. The Rockets are now in Loco-Motion. Stationary dribbling is largely passe. And what a difference it makes! More open shots. Those defending have to constantly reset. Things just work. I want the Rockets to know that the change is noted and greatly appreciated. P.S. Thanks for the fast breaks, I had forgotten what they looked like.
Wow! Adding ball handlers that can pass and also shoot the ball is the reason for that not trading away Francis and Mobley.
the steve and cat era, or "dribble mania", was at it's worst in rudy's last year. steve, cat, mooch, posey, and mo all trying to go one on one. i don't even want to bring up the terrible passing and court vision, and the lack of offensive awareness to recognise who is hot of all of those players. now sura, wesley, barry, and tmac have taken over the backcourt two years later. mo still remains but we have great shooters, passers, and decision makers. IMO we are a PF away from being contenders. then if we add a SF and a PG we are the favorites.
Yeah I watch some other teams and now they look horrible I like the Rockets Well of course I always have lol Pistons offense today right now against Suns looks good too.
I heard a friend of mine call it 'Dribble-Diarrhea' during Francis and Mobley's heyday here, and I thought that was very fitting. Dribble all day, and it usually stunk.
scouting report on Francis if he is dribbling with his right hand, he is going to drive if he is dribbling with his left hand, he is going to pull up and shoot if the ball is in Grant Hill's hands, it might find its way to the open man
