] hope Yao finally gets out of his slump and goes for atleast 25pts 12 rebs 2 blks.

25 points? how many shot he can get? If JVG continue uses yao like now, he will be injuried soon. Maybe that's good to both sides, we will see how far rocket can go without Yao presence. Not mention his stats, just presence at games.

Teams are already fighting for playoff positioning prior to the All Star Break!

I'd love to see Rox win and get the tiebreaker edge over the Grizz in case of a tie. This will be a hugee game cos it'd be a 1 game difference in the standings instead of the usual 1/2 game. We're right behind LA for the 6th seed and without Kobe in LA for the next week or so, it's looking quite achievable!

    Go Rox!!

    Roxs WIN

Roxs continue thier great play, doing what good teams do, finding a way to win. Given the last 2 games, I will have to say the score will be,

    Roxs: 89
    Grizzz: 81

this is really a big game. both teams are on a roll and after slow starts, have really caught on. Both teams need this game as a statement game to prove they are contenders not pretenders.

Gut feeling: I don't think we got it tonite (I pray I'm wrong!)

Let's take a look at yao and his rival 's stats of last couple of games

Rockets vs Nuggets 116 vs 98
    Yao 21 pts 7 rbs 1 asts 3 blks 2 TOs 4 PFs
    Camby 9 pts 4 rbs 1 asts 3 blks 0 TOs 4 PFs

    Rockets vs Mavricks 124-114
    Yao 20 pts 6 rbs 1 asts 4 blks 2 TOs 2 PFs
    Dampier 6 pts 5 rbs 0 asts 0 blks 1 TOs 3 PFs

    Rockets vs Nets 94-85
    Yao 6 pts 9 rbs 0 asts 2 blks 5 TOs 5 PFs
    Collins 8 pts 7 rbs 2 asts 1 blks 0 TOs 6 PFs

    Rockets vs Spurs 73-67
    Yao 13 PTs 8 RBS 1 asts 2 blks 2 TOs 5 PFs
    Nesterovic 3 pts 5rbs 1 asts 1 blks 3 TOs 2 PFs

After you check the stats above, who do you want to have as Yao's replacement, actually, Camby, Dampier, collins are all good examples of physical players. Yao was playing solid game in this streak and did his part of job decently. Even in his worst game vs Nets, he fouled out collins and did his best to help his team in defense end. And Yao is always embraced and attacked badly by two or three muscle guys, you don't think it is esay, do you?

I also like the fact that Rockets start to win some tough games without the need of best game from both of TMAC and YAO. It means Rockets is growing up to a more stable team because you cann't expect they both play good every night.

Of course, Gasol is a better player, yao always has tough game when play Gasol, even in Olympis qualification. In first two meets between these two teams, Yao average 11 PTs 7.5 RBS and 2.5 BLKs. That is what Rockets need Yao to do tonight to win. Easy, Right?

Just sit down, relax yourself and enjoy the win tonight.

bah, I'd like to be positive, but the Grizz have always given the Rox fits. I predict the things I been b****ing about catches up with the Rox and we lose by 10. I've predicted the last 4 games a slosses, so hopefully the streak continues :D

Well this the the tale of the two long distance runners setting their sites on the sprinters (Suns, Sonics). This game will be hard fought and both teams are playing the best they have all season. No excuses in this one....

Unfortunately (for Rocket fans), the Grizz will pull this one out.

    Grizz 105

Referee bias towards the home team will be a severe factor.

Yao lowers his shoulder into Wright at the start of the game. Ref blows the whistle and calls Yao for charging.

The odds of Yao being a non-factor due to the referees is high if Yao does not knock down jumpers. The way to negate the effect of the referees is to not create contact with the defender.

When Yao sets a pick, Yao needs to be damn still when he sets it. I always see him moving into the defender which gives fuel to the argument that Yao is setting illegal picks. Pick and roll will be important to get Posey or Battier off Tmac.
