I've noticed that every game I watch, I always see TMac pulling up for the 20 foot jumper or the 3. It bothers me when I see this because I cant see anyone in the league xcept maybe Kobe who can stop him from going to the hole and finishing strong or picking up the foul. I think he fell into some real bad habits in orlando last year. He was attempting almost 8 3pters a night last year, and as a result his FTA went down to 7.5 whereas he was attempting 6 3's a game the year before and attempting almost 10 FTs a game. This season he is attempting less 3's but his FTA's have also gone down from last season, which tells me he is settling way too often for the long jumper.

I am making this point because it just kills me when a guy like MeMac can destroy peopel off the driblle but seemingly refuses to do it as often as he should. he gets his points but they come too often on jumpers, not enough on drives. We get on Yao for his passiveness, but MeMac has also gotta get more agressive and take it to the hole, because he can draw fouls and get more 3 pt plays with his ability to finish.

Must be confused with Mattress Mac.
Or it's a subliminal desire to be Tracy... me Mac... me McGrady.

God, I'm bored. Just got home from a party I didn't want to go to, and just turned on the game. Adios!

Well Mcgrady is shooting .424% from the field and .358% from the 3-point line. Also, to his credit, he has made a LOT of big shots and so many shake your head kinda shots. I don't mind at all.

First of all, with the implement of the zone, pretty much no one in the league can penetrate the lane at will. There's a reason why T-Mac was complaining so hard about the zone last season.

Also, no one here complains when Howard or Mo takes an open outside shot. Well, guess what. For T-Mac, pretty much ANY shot is an open shot. The guy has so much size, balance, and elevation that it's so easy to create the space necessary for him to shoot. That's why the jumpshots he put up are almost never contested, even when he's guarded by someone.

If Yao is in the paint clogging up the lane and attracting attention, of course Mcgrady is going to have less opportunities to drive to the basket. It's too crowded.

He's shooting 42% for ther season, if they're not being contested, they he's having problems hitting the relatively open jumper. Tonight he shot 35%, I know we won, but noone wins consistently when their guy is shooting 35% from the field and taking 28 shots. I dont care how the rest of th team is doing, you have to get guys involved, and not just involved in passing the ball, force them to shoot it themselves. I'm sure they can shoot 35% just as well as MeMac.

Thats why you drive and dish to him when his guy switches off. Nash seems to get this concept

I'm with you on this WTF is Me-Mac?

T-Mac is a team player first in H-town.

"Me-Mac" makes me laugh. He's the best player on the team and he plays like he is. I wish Yao was Meao.

The Rockets have been winning since TMac started to take more shots. End of arguement.

And how often has a drive and dish resulted in Yao fumbling the pass or not anticipating the pass. Nash has Amare catching his passes, Mcgrady has Yao. That's a big difference.

Don't nitpick on something like that. You know he didn't mean Tmac has wide open shots.

If it's his shot, it's his shot. WHen he's in the zone, he's in the zone. I remember so many times where he "launched" 3 pointers 2 feet out but he hit them. As long as he's in rhythm, i could care less.

    You get a one star

Look at Orlando's record last year with him taking all those shots. End of argument,

How can you be in a zone and miss 18 shots.

Spurs defense is very good, do not underestimate their effect on every Rocket's offensive play tonight. The fact is, Tmac hit BIG shots down the stretch and carried the team. There was a 6-0 run by Tmac alone in the fourth quarter (i think, maybe the 3rd) where he just carried the team to the lead. Tmac is a warrior.

T-mac sharing the ball taking around 15-17 shots a game.. Our record was 6-11... T-mac taking over games hitting buckets when it counts due to being in a rhythm from shooting throughout the game.. 15-6.. hmmm wonder which is working for the rockets.

Also, it helped that the Rox got some deadweight players out of their rotation (Ward, Lue, Snackbar, to a lesser extent JJ).
