    Lock this nonsense!;)

public outcry? Please.. Everyone except the YOH wish that he just be abit more aggressive. But the way the referees call Yao, it makes it frustrating to watch. He is trying to be more aggressive. As soon as he does something aggressive, the refs put him in handcuffs because of their crappy calls!

I vode for Mihm if such ridiculous trade of Yao is inevitable. But what is our final goal then? Should it be the Title? If you guys just want to go to playoff here and there and quit in the 1st or even 2nd round, that's fine. I say Orlando Magic has been doing that except last season.

you nailed it on the dot Blatz...

most of the ones outcrying for trade of Yao are either fans from other teams who want him....or Yao fans who think we are the ones holding Yao back from being this mythical monster dominating center.

just look to all the morons that are blaming Sura for freezing out Yao...what a crock of crap....in the NBA, you feed the hot hand...not the ineffective one....and Yao was more ineffective vs the Nets than posisbly any other game ever since he came into the league.

my ignore list is getting monstrous with all these morons to ignore.

....and who know's, maybe we can get "Fridge" for half-price. He'd be the ideal power foward for the Rockets.

I would like to smack the people who said Chris Mihm. I am not kidding about this, why not put Othella Harrington in there while you're at it.

Also to the morons who never saw Dampier be the lazy bufoon he was for his entire career before his contract year, are you not watching the act he is putting on this season in Dallas as the role of a real NBA player? I've seen better acting on late night Cinemax. This is what you want in a player? A slacker who gets going for his contract year and then doesn't do jack crap for the next 5 years? Clutch should release thwe names of idiots who voted for Dampier, just so I can automatically put them on my ignore list.

I thought every rockets fans are going to pick up on that soon. A lot of negative threats about Yao from someone new to the GARM are from either Yao fan that wants yao traded to their teams or fans of other teams that wanted Yao there.

Seriously, Yao is the best option we have out of the bunch of guys that you listed. That just shows how pathetic the center position has become more than anything else.

I think that Yao will fit in well with a team built around TMac for the long term. Yao is a legit low-post threat, and he can get rebounds when he puts his mind in it. He's always going to have some defficiencies, especially on defense, but he's better than any other center out there. Once people start to accept Yao for who he is, they'll understand that he's actually a good fit on this team.

However, I do agree that the league has changed and you no longer need a legit center to win. You still need a low-post threat, but that player doesn't have to be a 7-foot center any more. In a few years when Shaq finally hangs them up, we'll start to see a lot more undersized centers in this league.

    Question:

Do these random 'fans' who think Yao is a bad player or shouldn't be on the Rockets decide start a thread every 35 minutes with the mindset that, perhaps in some distant miracle fantasyland think that they can start a 'rebellion' against #11 by 'infiltrating' the real fan base?

Because if so, that's pretty focking lame and you guys are SERIOUS attention whores. I mean, it's not like Carroll Dawson reads this message board and makes moves by the opinions expressed here. If that were the case then either of 2 things would happen:

1.) The roster would consist of players like Mihm, T.J. Ford, Royal Ivey, Bo Outlaw, Jake Voskuhl and the like from the local arrogance of the Texas/Big XII sentiment,

or 2.) Mengke Bateer, Lamar Odom, Bostjan Nachbar, Eddie Griffin, and Marc Jackson would be the starters.

Come on people, Yao is 10 times better in my book than the Rik Smits-type player he was destined to be by 95% of sportswriters.

I mean it could be worse; at least this guy ain't starting for Houston:

I'm new to this forum and it seems that half the people here (if they are representative or Rocket fans), want Yao traded.

I get a little annoyed at trade-Yao or Yao-sucks sentiment and just wanted to see what those people wanted as an alternative and what percentage really wanted him to go. I am glad to see that the vast majority want to keep him.

    Yeah Baby

i do not think that most people want yao gone, he is on of our cornerstones, and our hope for a championship in th next couple of years. He is ouu future. if we trade him we wil never get the same amount of talent in return. and i like yao. Yao and T-Mac can be great. just give yao some more time to learn how to dominate. he has the ability to now he needs the mentality
