Did everyone see T-Mac yelling at his teamates tonight? It was a beautiful sight to see indeed. He yelled at Deke for not converting an easy bucket that he set him up for and right after that, we went on a tear. Game over. Not to mention dropping in 30 and dishing out 11 assists....while playing hurt.

These are the kinds of things that leaders do.

I'm starting to think that T-Mac is getting more comfortable with his role in JVG's offense and it's rubbing off on the rest of the team.

Yep I saw that too, he was also yelling at DW to come get the ball also... At the end of the game T-mac and Deke were huging and Deke was asking if T-mac had any cookies...I know what your saying and I am glad to see our team come together like it is.. I would like to see us push for atleast the 5th spot in the playoffs, I think it could happen IF we can keep this style of play going..

We need a vocal leader. Hopefully can be just that.

Without question one of the BEST things I saw in the Dallas game was Tmac getting "on" his players. LOVED seeing that emotion and that leadership. That is EXACTLY what this team needs to take it to the next level.

Tmac just needs to keep it up.

    That was awesome to see!

Did you also notice that, after he started getting vocal, his teammates ratcheted up their energy and intensity and all of a sudden Dallas couldn't execute their offense? Freaking fantastic!

T-Mac is finally starting to figure out that leading "by example" is not the way to go, it'll never work, you have to be vocal to lead and I'm happy to see him do just that.

I noticed him getting in the face of Motumbo at one point and thinking, "You really ought to respect your elders". No, just kidding. I am so happy to hear T-Mac getting vocal with the team. That is a sign that he is becoming more mentally competant as a player. It really sparked the team last night. Last night was the best team effort of the season. I was actually proud to be a Rockets fan for the first time in a while.

LEADER- One who leaves 100% blood sweat and tears on the floor, no reserve, no fear, and demands equal sacrifice from his guys. He is vocal and he is the first one out of the foxhole.

TMac is telling them I will do my part, you are my guys and we won't settle for less than our best.

I wouldn't trade TMac for another player in the league except maybe Duncan, no not even Duncan.

Somebody pinch me, how did we end up with Tracy McGrady????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that was a great sight. Never saw him do that before, I'm sure JVG had something to do with it, probably had some father/son chat with him about leadership, intensity, competing. It would make for an interesting byline in the Chron, hopefully one of the beat reporters asks T-Mac why he was more vocal.

Mabye, but I really think it has more to do with T-Mac feeling more comfortable in JVG's system.

At any rate, what I liked even more than T-Mac doing it was the fact that the team responded to it. Up until the last week or so, we seemed to lack direction. Everyone seemed to be waiting for someone else to step up and take charge. I guess T-Mac got tired of waiting and did something about it and his teamates responded big time.

Maybe this means we could be turning the corner....finally.

Yeah, I remember reading quotes at the beginning of the season about how he didn't want to be the leader. I think getting rid of a semi talented JJ who decided he was going to be the leader was a very smart thing to do.

MJ used to yell at his teammates with the Bulls and the team usually cranked it up a notch. Hate to say it but sometimes I would like to see T-Mac do it to Yao. I think Yao would respond.

Good thread. It was good to see TMac show some leadership out there. Seems like the team really responded to him.

I wouldn't mind seeing TMac getting at Yao sometimes when he misses easy shots or misses dunks on fouls.

Yell is an understatement. He gave Kerr a black eye in practice.
