The 350z is a nice ride, I see a lot of girls riding around in them, as well as middle-aged white men.

    LOL. Was that a compliment?

The 350Z is slowly turning into the "import Mustang". Everyone and their mother has one.

what tranny will be behind that monster?
also, decided on an intake yet?
I'd go easy on the cams, no reason to rev it to the moon with that much displacement and you want your new baby to last...

Maybe in Texas but they are still rare in Southern Middle Tennessee - just the way I like it.:)

I'm thinking a TKO, but for now, I'm just gonna have to baby the T-5 that's in there.
I picked up a 351 GT-40 lower intake, and I will be using the Explorer upper that I am using now. I'm looking for a good streetable roller cam...She has to stay a daily driver and I want her to idle smoothly. The BBK Longtubes swap headers are on the way, and I need to look for some drop mounts. I would rather drop the block than have to go with a cowl hood and give away what's underhood.

It was either this route or take a 302 and stroke her to 331. I'm pleased with the route I've chosen.

Dude, cars are rare in Southern Middle Tennessee... lol.

OK, I'm kidding... I have no idea what it's like there, but couldn't pass that up. :)

Let me know when you can come pick it up. The homeowner's association is starting to make threats.

Ace the fin. It's a little over the edge. Probably over-priced.

Yeah the Infiniti G35/ 350Z are definitely good looking, but they are very feminine cars ~ a lot like a new VW bug convertible…

Absolute Blasphemy! The G35 is one of the best looking cars out there, and I've always been a fan of the 300/350Z.

BTW, a friend of mine decided to get the Acura TL over the G35. How many of y'all would've done that. In fact, I'm going to do a poll.

    Hilarious!

Remember what I said about Rice being in the attitude. Driving home from work, I go out of my way to not bait this guy in a civic with a fart can. I am casually going by him and he romps at me. I try to ignore him and he does it again. My adrenalin started pumping and I looked at him and laughed. Then I waved at him and slammed third. Buh-bye fart car. As I pulled into the daycare to pick up my youngest, and I knew it was coming, RICER FLY BY!!! :D

Er, that doesn't sound too good, Fatty, if you really read what you said! :D

Anyway, I disagree vehemently with Cheetah on the 350Z/G35 being "feminine" - 287 hp is NOT feminine for a V6. Feminine is reserved for your Celicas, Eclipses, and V6 Mustangs.

Oh and Fatty I would take the G35 over the Acura in a heartbeat, but you probably already knew that.

I did. I took the TL over the G35 sedan. The only reason I didn't get a G35 coupe was it's pretty much worthless in terms of carrying anything except another body.

I love the 3-fitty Z's. Very nice look, good motor (VQ is the best 6 cylinder ever built) and a great suspension. They're a bit on the heavy side, but plenty fast none the less. If I were buying one of the new performance cars for around 30K plus, it'd be at the top of my list. I also like the WRX and the EVO is pretty nice as well.

I'm not surprised that the rice scene is dying out. Turning a 100 hp Civic into a 300 hp monster costs a ton of money and it's kind of like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. It just isn't going to work. I love cruising around Tampa in my old Bandit Trans Am and wiping the streets with those fartcan, neon-clad, low-power dork mobiles.

Falcon, have fun with that new motor! My 928's turbo-charged plant finally gave up the ghost, but I've re-engined my baby with an LS1 salvaged from a dead C5 Corvette. When I get all of the mods on that motor done in the next few years, she'll have as much hp and more torque with a naturally aspirated motor that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix. Woohoo!

Note for all of you, the MR Spyder and Celica will be terminated at the end of this model year. Guess Toyota is too busy building trucks and nerdmobile Prius's for stupid enviro-geeks than to build fun cars that go fast. At least this new supercar would be a step in a more politically incorrect and fun direction. Hopefully they'll use a detuned version of the F1 V-10 in that car.
