For my 2001st post I would like to thank all those out there who have conversed with me, and especially here in the Hangout forum. I would also like to thank Clutch for setting this place up on his Rocket web page where we can talk about things other than (and sometimes more meaningful than)sports. One thing I "try" to do when I post on topics other than the Rockets is keep my emotions to a minimum (I don't try to do that very much with the Rockets). I would also like to thank posters, such as: Jeff, outlaw, TheFreak, rimbaud, heypartner, and some that don't come to me right now, for debating, enlightening, arguing, etc with me. I truly feel that to discuss these topics face to face would mean we would never be able to get along. Here, I think a lot of the tension and emotion that is attached to some topics can be side-stepped, and our true opinions be discussed. Sure, it doesn't always work that way. And, sure, some people still find a way to get pissed off, but (with me at least) I don't hold any grudges and I look forward to discussing the next topic with you all. Thanks. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
I would like to thank Dreamer for helping me achieve my 1237th post. ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Stupid threads & Stupid BBS names are not FUN! 2. Spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure are not FUN! 3. Conduct yourself in a FUN way! The Fun Police are Watching. Vote for the Rockets & Have FUN! REDSKINS SUCK!!!!!!!!
Once again, congratulations DREAMer. I look forward to many engaging discussions in the future. Gascon ------------------ Sometimes I think I'd be better off dead. No, wait, not me...you.
I agree, DREAMer. Even though we don't agree on Mike Tyson, I always enjoy any type of discussion with you. That especially goes for posters like Jeff and outlaw as well (yeah, you too, RM95, LOL). You two have enabled me to discuss things intelligently and sincerely that I otherwise would never have had the opportunity to talk about in my everyday life. Anyone that I may have left out, I apologize (hopefully you know who you are). I am thankful that I have had this forum to get me through this offseason. Anybody need a kleenex?
TheFreak, What's funny is, I don't think we agree on much at all. I bet I could count the number of times we agreed on something on one hand, making the "peace" sign. But, when we do agree on something, we AGREE! --------------------- DoD, I think most of my meaningless posts have come in repsonse to a post by you, so I thank you for padding my stats. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. I'm almost there!I Think i can...i think i can...i think i can........ ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Freak, thanks for the mention! I don't think we've agreed on anything yet, starting out with the Mario Elie debate to the current abortion debate! But I can't wait to be rooting on our Rockets somewhere in this freaky city with you, Kagy, Clutch, DaDakota, and whoever! DREAMer, I hope you read my post in one of the 16 abortion threads going on. While we may not agree on that issue, or others, I respect you a great deal for your passion about these things. If only everyone could feel that way about issues, change would have to occur to our system. ------------------ Cheerleaders are just dancers who've gone r****ded. visit www.swirve.com [This message has been edited by Rocketman95 (edited October 03, 2000).]
To quote my father, "I'm not prejudice. I hate everybody!" He was joking and so am I, of course. This board provides me with an outlet for all that angst that would otherwise end up all over my house so I'm sure my wife and my cats thank all of you. DREAMer: keep being you, man. I never care who I agree with or if I EVER agree with anyone here. If we all agreed, this would be the most boring place on the planet. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Here's to a great upcoming season, Smeg and Mango going back and forth with their brotherly love, HP exhibiting his Flash skills, Tod the Bod and DOOKIE wanting Rudy fired, Sirhangover being, well....hungover and Bobo acheiving 5000 posts by the All-Star break. Cheers! ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures.
