Kent's range is much smaller than what Biggio has. His speed/ glove work would make him at least an average second baseman.
Well, I kept hearing that Biggio lost a lot of his range at 2nd base. Part was due to the injury. In his hay days, Biggio was on the top of the defensive 2nd basemen. From what I understood, Biggio doesn't have even the range of Kent anymore, but I'm not claiming to be an expert. All from what I've heard from sport radio for the last year.
Well, if Beltran signs, this is going to make Tim's job a lot less difficult in the offseason. That's why he probably was smiling.
610 reports that an ESPN source said that the deal should take place tonight. One broadcast reports says astros still the favorite. An announcement will take place either way.
I think the girl friend will.... ....if I run back to the computer... This better be over before "Sleep" time comes
this sucks monkey balls. Seriously, whats the point of holding off for the last 50 min. Mothertruckers.
matt musil on cbs reporting that he thinks the stros are finalizing details and that's why there's a contingent of reporters at min maid park waiting. he mused that if it were bad news, they'd already have that announcement. no real news, but positive vibes.
Thanks for the update. I found a spot in my backyard that clears the signal up a little. I'm thinking about trying to build bench or a nice swing there in a couple of weeks so I can listen to the games and fan feed back. It's really cool on clear nights.
