he did they just didn't call it. :) Kobe is way more aggressive. IMO Kobe played better today. But Kobe's team played better as well.

Although I like the effort in the second half, I'm still nevertheless disappointed.

If only Yao would bring that intensity in the beginning of the game

If only our guards would make even 30% of their shots....

So are the rockets still a work in progress and WILL improve some more? or have they just hit a hall or perhaps a step back??

    Anyone?

    Barry 1/7
    Wesley 1/7

Why did Rockets do those trade again?

What? Phreak3 is defending Yao? Can't believe it. ;)

That's how Asian parents treat their kids. Scold their kids themselves, but won't allow others to do that.

I missed that. But I thought most of his comments on Yao and the Rockets are right on. He pointed out that the Rockets need to move and penetrate to get Yao some easy baskets and said sth like "Yao will score 9 out of 10 times if he gets the ball deep inside the paint". That's not really a Yao hater.

:) No wonder no one looks like they're having fun on the court. All along we thought it was JVG, Yao, the guards, the forwards but it wasn't. It's been the backstabbing rabid Rockets fans the whole time. Steve, Cat, Cato, JJ, Boki...they're all gone. And soon Yao will leave too lest he stay here and get trashed by the very people that are supposed to make him feel like Houston is home. Well, I say good luck Yao Ming. Hopefully you will find a place where fans don't bicker constantly and stab all their players in the back ('cept TMac...he gets a 1 year reprieve and then he'll be in the crosshairs too). Maybe, Mr. Yao Ming, you will find a city whose fans actually attend games and such.

    Good luck to everyone!!! ;)

Tim Legler went off on Yao in the 1st half. I think his point about Yao on defense is just poignant. Yao is a paperweight. Try moving a paperweight. It's heavy and slow. This means defensive rotations will be slow.

Our lack of hitting wide open shots by the guards cost us this game.

Maybe the Rockets should dump as much salary as possible and offer a max contract to Michael Redd this summer. Pipe dream?? Yes, but it would be nice to have someone that can hit a wide open shot with consistency.

And is it just me or should TMAC had been the one to handle the ball towards the end of the game?

I dont know why Sura was doing most of the dribbling. I thought TMAC was supposed to handle the ball when he have a remote chance of coming back in the end of a game?

I think the guard penetration with Yao planted right in the middle right next to the basket might be the best scoring play for the Rockets. Yao got a lot of gimmes off these plays. Yao is no longer a go-to player. He has lost his skills.

I doubt Yao is going to ask for a max contract now. How one be a max contract player without being a go-to player also?

I think I saw Barry and Wesley look over their shoulders at JVG after each miss.

Did you miss the part where he said that yao is not really a low post scorer and that he can't really create his own shot in that way? Would you agree with that also?

Don't know about you guys, but I've finally reached my limit for "moral victories". This is a .500 team threading water that looks headed to the NBA Lottery once again.

The only thing that I don't understand about JVG is his decision to put Padgett on the court after Yao scored on two consecutive possessions. With Padgett on the court, the lakers guards penetrated the lane well and scored layups on 4-5 consecutive possesions. That was the game right there.

Kobe would be on him and he won't let TMac go off easily.

I thought Sura only freezed out Yao from time to time. What's up with not passing the ball to TMac at the end of the game, looks like he really wanted to pad his own stats.
