The Lakers are shooting 80% from the floor in the second quarter. Why play Padgett after Yao scored two baskets? The Lakers guards penetrated the lane for easy layups with Padgett in the game.

The JVG sub pattern does not make any sense. And the Rockets need to show some mercy to Yao, let him go, trade him to another team, or he will end up in asylum under the tuition of Forrest Gumpy.

Well I always try to be optimistic, but these guys really suck out there.

No nice way to put it. Coaching is not the problem tonight; they're just a bunch of crappy players playing worse with nobody stepping up or taking blame for...sucking.

What gets me is the absolutely terrible shot selection and of course the atrocious defense. I started watching when it was a 13 point lead and I counted maybe twice down the floor the Lakers didn't score. And these weren't lucky shots either.

My god, embarrassed that much at halftime; pathetic.

Well how the heck is JVG going to break YAO down mentally? Is YAO that WEAK and CRIPPLED that he can't just go out there and do what he loves to do (play basketball)???

I Just don't get it. I'm starting to feel real negative towards Yao right now. How the heck can a coach break a star caliber player down to the point where he's a useless GEORGHE MURESAN or BRADLEY???

I thought YAO was better than that......

A coach that isn't flexible and a player that isn't really that mentally steady is a bad combination. Maybe that's why Yao loved Rudy so much. In any case I think the Rockets need to pick which one to stay with.

With the current roster we have, a blowout like this is doomed to happpen. It's just a matter of time. I'd rather it happen sooner so that our management can finally have the determination to completely retool this team.

It's a combination of 1) Yao sucks; 2) his confidence is broken; 3) riot against his coach.

Ming looks pathetic, embarassing. I can't help but remember his first year, the Dallas game. I thought to myself, a star is born. The moves, the grace, the sweet shot. Three years later, he looks completely disoriented. Something is terribly wrong. If he is sick, I can understand, but tell the fans something. Take him out, stop the humiliation. :(

You basically answered your own question. Yao is definitely weak and crippled (compared to other All-Stars), especially after he misses a few early shots. He knows he's going to get a tongue lashing from JVG during the next timeout and instead of playing aggressively, he plays not to screw up.

T-mac is not the one to blame. He's proven that he's a star throughout the season and carried this team. Let's not forget that SPURS game comeback.

The problem is that YAO has deferred to non-existent non-effective waste of space in the game of basketball. I really hate the fact that I'm saying that.....but it's true.

What the heck is the matter with him!!!

JVG doesn't seem to understand that you can't be a jerk and get the same result from every player. There are some players that need an arm around them just to know you are still behind them and some you need to kick in the arse.Yao looks like he has no confidence I hope I am wrong.

I think the coach has something to do with the poor performance of this team. Obviously Rudy T beats Grummpy this time.

Sura was penetrating the lane when he first came off the IL and was new to the team. Now he is constantly pulling up in 3 point land and looking for something.

Yep, we've finally got him integrated into this magical, creative, productive offense that we run.

I'm cynically optimistic about this game - I'm quite sure that I won't be pleasantly surprised, thereby avoiding disappointment.
I can see the Yao haters are out 2nite.
